SIM Division, AOM’s Post

It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Andy Wicks. Andy was not only a former SIM Division chair, but a dearly cherished colleague, a mentor to many of us, an inspiration, and an exemplary human being. We celebrate Andy’s life with deep gratitude and extend our most sincere condolences to Andy’s family and friends. Rest in peace, to one of our very best! We encourage everyone reading this post to click through to the UVA article. It is a great piece honoring Andy’s legacy. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Darden Professor Emeritus Andy Wicks, a beloved teacher, ethicist and friend whose work challenged us to think deeply about what it means to live a good life. Through his final book, “Ultimate Questions: A Stakeholder Guide to the Business of Your Life,” Andy left us with a powerful invitation to wake up, pay attention and engage with life’s biggest questions with courage and compassion.
