Predicted the rise of XFG (STRATUS) in July 2025 before WHO VUM designation. Built synthetic models with F486P, L452W, Q493E now defining its immune escape profile. Invivyd's VYD2311? Potent against yesterday’s variants. But against tomorrow’s XFG-driven world? Unlikely to last >10 months. mAbs should be trained on future evolution not past. #SARSCoV2 #XFG #MonoclonalAntibodies #ComputationalVirology #VariantMonitoring Invivyd | World Health Organization | Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Research into long COVID has surged beyond the levels previously seen for other infection-associated chronic illnesses (IACIs) 📈 This has a major potential benefit for these pre-existing IACIs: the scale and clear infectious trigger of long COVID is helping to draw attention and legitimacy towards a set of extremely neglected diseases. However, there has been a clear tendency of long COVID researchers to believe they are starting entirely from scratch, which they need not. Instead we must also push these researchers and groups to learn from and integrate their work into the existing research around ME/CFS, POTS, MCAS, dysautonomia etc - many of which can be COVID-triggered, falling under the long COVID umbrella. That way, progress can be accelerated for everyone - including long COVID patients 🚀 #MECFS #LongCOVID #POTS #Dysautonomia
