R.Power Renewables S.A., one of Europe’s fastest-growing renewable energy companies, has sold a 49.99% stake in its 127 MW / 254 MWh Scornicesti battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Romania to Eiffel Investment Group, marking the closing of a new joint venture between the two companies. We’re pleased to share that a 65 MW / 260 MWh #battery #energy storage system has been commissioned in Tenevo, Bulgaria, following the successful launch of 69 MW of #solar capacity earlier this year. This is one of the biggest co-located #BESS projects in Europe to date. The project is developed by Tenevo Solar Technology, a partnership between Eurowind Energy and Renalfa IPP. Delivered in collaboration with Solarpro Holding Bulgaria as project manager and #EPC contractor, and with battery technology from HiTHIUM Energy Storage/Kehua Tech, the system is now fully operational. This marks the first phase of a total planned 315 MW / 760 MWh BESS, forming part of Bulgaria’s largest #hybrid energy project, integrating solar, #wind and battery storage. Backed by strong partnerships and proven technology, the project is designed for long-term performance and impact. It represents the kind of integrated energy solutions we see as essential to meeting future energy demands.

SUNOTEC strengthens its position in the Latvian renewable energy sector. Earlier this month, SUNOTEC-owned DSE Lazas Solar completed the acquisition of UWG from Utilitas. This strategic transaction marks another step in SUNOTEC’s expansion in the Baltic energy market. With this acquisition, the largest PLANNED photovoltaic (400 MWp) and battery energy storage system (600 MWh) project in Latvia will be expanded by the Gudenieki Wind Project. #HybridPowerPlant #WindLatvia

Octopus Energy Generation, the generation division of the energy provider, and the renewable energy project developer Energiequelle Germany have launched the joint venture 'OQTO-X'. 💡 The aim is to support industrial and commercial companies in planning, installing and financing solar systems and large-scale batteries, including energy management. 👉 It will not only target the German market, but also Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic. The joint venture will invest a total of around 200 million euros by 2030, the companies announced.
