I’ve been building Arnio from the ground up as a solo founder for the last few months. No co-founder. No big team. Just me and a few great contractors. Most startups start with a technical co-founder. But I think times have changed. There are so many tools and resources out there now that let you build without waiting for the “perfect partner.” Here’s what helped me: 1) Start even if you don’t have everything figured out. I had technical experience, but I hadn’t used it in nearly a decade. Getting back into it taught me a lot fast. 2) Use AI wisely. Ask questions. Learn. But always double-check what it says and get real feedback from experts. 3) Interview more people than you think you need to. I talked to 20+ developers before finding the right team. Every call was a lesson. Now, I’ve got 3 developers on the team. We run daily standups, and I stay close to the tech. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.
