Jane Goodall was a unique champion for justice and peace, and deep connection between human and animal worlds. Her passing leaves deep sorrow. We are grateful for her voice of support to the World Health Organization, and in particular for the #PandemicAccord last year. Until her final days, she continued sharing her wisdom with the world. She will be profoundly missed, but her legacy must continue to guide us toward a kinder and more peaceful world.
As Jane said: "My work is to help people understand that each one of us makes a difference. And, together, the wise decisions about how we act each day is the beginning of changing the world." An empowering message from a truly powerful woman, because world change doesn't require waiting for heroes or leaders to fix everything. It begins with you, with me, with each person making conscious, thoughtful choices in their everyday lives. When millions do this simultaneously, those small ripples become waves of real change.
