They say your first post should introduce yourself. But I’d rather use mine to thank the people who quietly held the ladder as we took our first climb. 🙏 This journey with FutureFarming didn’t start in a boardroom. It started on a bike, delivering mangoes during COVID because no one else would. My brother Anand Sagar and I have lived the farmer’s struggle firsthand. We’re not outsiders with a solution; we’re insiders solving our own problem. And sometimes, you look up to people who’ve walked paths you aspire to tread. For us, that’s the Kamath brothers - Nithin Kamath and Nikhil Kamath – who built Zerodha, a platform that truly democratised investing. A month ago, something small but magical happened. I mustered the courage to cold-email Nitin & Nikhil Kamath (yes, the Nitin Kamath, someone I’ve deeply admired for yrs). To my disbelief, he replied. He just looped in his team. That one email made my entire month. It felt like a quiet nod from the universe: “Keep going.” That belief grew stronger when Harnidh K. also replied to our email with brief inputs about our deck, our model, our very pitch - pushing us to think sharper and build clearer. Thankyou for your ruthless honesty and generosity. Then came the game-changer: Mesa School of Business. Through their unwavering support, we found ourselves in rooms we’d only dreamed of. Last week, I had the privilege of meeting Sajith Pai (the most generous and humble person I have met yet, anyone in the VC space) Blume Ventures. I pitched FutureFarming, spoke about agri, scale, and what it takes to build for Bharat. His perspective & feedback were like oxygen for me. Right after, I coincidentally met with Vivek Kamath (WTFund) I just gave a small intro and gave our brochure about what we are building. And he took it full heartedly, it felt so good! A special mention to Dinesh Pai - your early feedback meant more than you know. A very special thank you to Varun Chawla for always being available and supporting me to make this happen! And none of this would’ve happened without Ankit Agarwal, Varun Limaye, Medha Meenal, Siddharth Singh Chauhan, Nazim Hassan, and Prashika Dua - you opened the doors and stood by us. Thank you. And to my early believers - Abhishek Kumar and Kanhaiya A. - you stood by us when this was just a wild idea. You are family. And of course, my father Santosh kumar, who was there with us at every step. And to everyone else who was there to support me, I apologise for not mentioning everyone. So, what is FutureFarming? We’re building the “Zerodha for Agriculture” - a transparent platform turning farms into an investible asset class. We’re helping small farmers escape debt cycles while giving investors a chance to back India’s backbone. Avnish M., who is working sideways to figure out my NBFC. We’re now seeking NBFC-D partners to bring this vision to life. If you know someone, have a contact, or just want to chat, my DMs are open. Let’s build this together!
Have seen this from the first day, built with purpose and real on-ground work. The journey ahead is going to be big 🌱
