Over 3 years ago Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began with dozens of missile strikes and Russian ground troops moving in. Hundreds of thousands have been killed since. And Europe’s security architecture upended. We have a major war in Europe. For 3 years now. Iryna moved in with us two weeks after the war had started. Her mother, Tamara, followed a few weeks later. They had to flee Charkiw - under constant bombardment. They stayed with us for 2 years. They have long found their own place, work, friends and to love Berlin by now. And still, every week, they travel across town to just play with the kids for a day. Every week. A joy to see that makes my heart explode. For ever greatful to the people that are still able and willing to give - after almost everything has been taken from them. #GoodWillPrevail
