When home-use cameras became popular in the early 1900s, photo-taking exploded—but the prints were small, and so were the faces. Even panoramic cameras, though high-quality, captured tiny facial details. Tip 3: Small faces are a challenge for facial recognition, which needs pixel real estate to work effectively. If you have the original negatives, use them! You can create larger prints or digitize them directly for better clarity. No negatives? Camera zoom is your friend! When digitizing, zoom in on the faces to make them as large and clear as possible. Crop out the background and even the body if needed; just don’t zoom so far that the image becomes blurry. Focus on the face. The more pixels it covers, the better the chance of a successful match. Tiny faces don’t have to mean tiny results—just digitize smart!

We challenged the Toucan scanner with three complex black objects—a nightmare for traditional scanners due to light absorption. The results highlight its blue light technology. The shorter wavelength provides higher precision and resists ambient light interference, capturing what others miss. It perfectly handles: • High Reflectivity: The dragon pendant's gloss, without blown-out highlights. • Zero Reflectivity: The matte shoe, digitized with perfect geometry. • Complex Textures: Every scale on the dragon statue, clearly defined. This isn't just impressive—it's practical. It unlocks new potential for product design, VFX, and preservation, removing material barriers to digitization.

On my quest to map out the path to the perfect #AR display, I talked to INNOVISION and got a look at their latest #microLED tech: ► From the monochrome display that is already used in #smartglasses and the 0.15cc light engine... ► to their tiny 0.06-inch prototype with 10,000 PPI and a 2.5µm pixel pitch... ► and finally, to their core differentiator: 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴. This means engineering single-panel, full-color displays by stacking RGB pixels on top of each other. This is a key challenge for the industry in order to reduce the size and power consumption of full-color glasses.
