Toyota Motor Europe’s Post

Hydrogen-powered logistics in action💧🚚 RTL Transportwereld shone a spotlight on Toyota’s bold steps towards a  carbon-neutral future, featuring our fuel cell trucks in real-world parts distribution operation. At the heart of this story is more than just technology - it’s about collaboration, innovation, and a shared vision for sustainable mobility. 🔹 Multi-Pathway Strategy: Toyota is embracing a multi-pathway approach to decarbonisation, studying battery electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. For long-haul and heavy-duty transport, hydrogen is proving its benefits. 🔹 Partnerships that power progress: This journey is the fruit of teamwork. VDL Special Vehicles designs and builds the trucks, logistics operators such as Vos Transport Group put them to the test on public roads. We are not just talking about theory - hydrogen trucks are doing daily logistics, clocking up to 12,000 km every month. 🔹 More than zero tailpipe emissions: Drivers are excited and proud to be part of this transformation. Their feedback? The trucks are reliable and quiet -  providing more sustainable experience for logistics drivers. 🔹 Beyond trucks: Hydrogen mobility takes many forms. Alongside heavy-duty vehicles, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is piloting fuel cell Hilux prototype to support its goal of zero-emission ground operations by 2030. The development of alternative fuels and drivetrains are moving at a break-neck pace. Hydrogen offers the power and range of diesel, but without tailpipe emissions. Toyota is taking a big step towards this future.
