It’s been a whirlwind week for #CCS events. ➡️ Monday. We kicked off the week with a celebration: the leader of our #HumberZero #CCS project Jonathan Briggs, was given the life time achievement award by the Chair of the Carbon Capture and Storage Association, Tom Glover, for "launching, managing, and delivering groundbreaking projects that have helped shape the landscape of the UK’s and North America’s CCS and climate technology sectors". ➡️ Wednesday. We discussed the road we need to take to a decarbonised power system alongside Luca Falso, Kayte O'Neill and Jonathan Baker-Brian at the Carbon Capture and Storage Association annual event. ➡️ Thursday. We chaired a fascinating discussion at the Energise Landscape Ltd energy conference, with Alex Milward, David Parkin, Jane Gaston, Chris Rowell from the Tees Valley Combined Authority, and Matthew Rhodes from the Black Country Industrial Cluster, on how we move #CCS from ambition to delivery, protect existing #jobs and create new ones for our key industrial regions.
