Today, on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor and recognize Indigenous communities whose cultures and contributions continue to shape the world around us. 🌎 We hold deep respect for the original stewards of the land that we call home in Southern California: the Gabrieleño (Tongva), Ventureño (Chumash), Fernandeño (Tataviam), Acjachemen (Juaneño), Payómkawichum (Luiseño), ívil̃uwenetem Meytémak (Cahuilla), and Yuhaaviatam/Maarenga’yam (Serrano) peoples. As an organization deeply rooted in the communities we serve across Greater Los Angeles County, Woodcraft Rangers honors the enduring presence and contributions of Indigenous peoples.
