Bearly Fit - Building On LinkedIn
Pssst!
It’s time for the next instalment of “me explaining my poor life choices to the internet”… I mean Bearly Fit...
Last time, I shared My Story, this time I'm going to explore why I decided to build in Public and my experience Building in public on LinkedIn.
How did we get here?
First a quick recap in to why I started building Bearly Fit publicly in the first place.
Until I was 22, I was in reasonable health.
I looked after myself and exercised regularly, but then I started a business and lost control.
After COVID struck and working 70+ hours a week at a high stakes job my physical and mental health were left in tatters.
At the end of 2021 - I was almost on the verge of another breakdown (Yes I said another)
I tried to take back control, but was still very broken and needed to take more time to focus on my mental health before I could really focus on my physical health.

2moBuilding in public is like open-sourcing your journey—it's not just about the code; it's about creating a space for feedback and community that can drive real innovation. How do you think sharing your process influences the quality of what you build? 🤔

4mo👍 agreed. I have come to the same conclusion. That is why I am building My Briefcase 💼 in public too. Idea is not new, but what I am learning is how to effectively execute it.

4moI agree. Good apps are a lot harder to build than people think! Especially non tech people. Even if someone steals your idea that doesn’t mean there’s no market for your implementation of it. Sometimes the reverse.
