From Zero to One: LinkedIn Playbook for B2B Startups

When founders come to me, the conversation usually starts like this: "We have no audience, limited budget, and need leads yesterday — where do we even start with content?"

My answer is always LinkedIn and just LinkedIn. For now.

Of course, you want the full-court press: blog, email, and multi-channel distribution. But in reality, you don't have the resources to manage all that, and more importantly, you don't have the time to wait for it to work.

LinkedIn offers an asymmetric opportunity. LinkedIn has 1 billion users, but only 1% post weekly. More than half of decision-makers spend an hour or more each week reading thought leadership there. And 95% of B2B buyers say strong thought leadership makes them more open to outreach.

Low supply. High demand. That’s a gap you can exploit.

A post today can generate a lead tomorrow, and that's not something that can happen in search. At best, SEO takes months to see traction. LinkedIn rewards engagement, and results aren’t determined by the domain authority you don't have yet.

You don’t need a polished approach to start with LinkedIn. It’s lo-fi and accessible. And it rewards real stories, genuine interaction. If you stick to it, you’ll see results after posting three times a week for a month. Try it.
