Generative AI isn’t just breaking barriers; it’s reshaping them. From deepfakes and agentic misuse 🤖 to hallucinations and context window overflows, from manipulation to data leakage 🔓 — the security risks are no longer theoretical. They’re here, evolving faster than most enterprises can respond.

This isn’t just innovation roaring ahead. It’s innovation without a safety net.

Thought-provoking. I think there’s significant risk to intellectual property, and the weakest link is usually how people in the organisation use AI, as you say, non-compliance with policies is a big risk. The other thing is as regulation develops, (or not) we see cautious users lose competitive advantage and the “Wild West” exploiting unregulated areas by newer companies and those less concerned with regulation and ethics, as we did with early internet and subsequently social media and other data-driven industries.

Something I am seeing is a retreat from public cloud based systems as a result of concerns over AI and over sharing of data. The control given by private cloud deployments gives additional reassurance that the cloud and AI boundaries are aligned, protecting data and IP. This shift back to on-prem DCs undermines previous business cases of using public cloud providers but is supportive of AI governance and de-risks AI deployment. Is this something you recognise Alex?
