MassChallenge Switzerland Awards Night 2024

MassChallenge Switzerland Awards Night 2024

We invite you, as part of the MassChallenge Switzerland Community, to join us on Thursday 31st of October to celebrate the 2024 Cohort.

Over the previous four months 119 startups selected out of the 1,300+ that applied have worked with our experts and partners. These collaborations have helped the startups make their businesses more financially and environmentally sustainable, so that their innovative solutions address some of society’s biggest challenges.

On the night we will award non-dilutive and no strings attached cash prizes: CHF 400k shared amongst the top 12 startups, and CHF 100k to the winner of the Louis Dreyfus Company Climate Resilience Prize. We would love you to join us in Lausanne so we can celebrate together the most innovative and highest impact startups worldwide!

On October 31st, Discover who will be the Diamond Winner.

AdAstra Sustainability - AdAstra is shifting the paradigm of agricultural supply chains with data solutions that change our understanding of how agriculture impacts the environment. Founded by experts in quantitative sustainability, we support stakeholders along agricultural value chains in taking decisive action for operating within planetary boundaries. Our product, Orbae, builds high-fidelity data from the ground up to reveal the impacts of land conversion at any level of traceability.

Angry Camel - We develop egg white replacement with superior emulsification & foaming for food applications from Chickpea protein.

ANT Machines - ANT Machines develops automated heavy-duty robots for port and yard operations. They address the issues of driver shortage, sustainability, and operational efficiency and are intended to replace conventional terminal trucks to make intralogistics more environmentally friendly and resilient. ANT intends to become a new market standard for yard operations and allow full automation of moving goods in logistic hubs.

Demetria ( Lorna MacLean )- Demetria changes the way in which endometriosis is diagnosed, helping to move the disease from invasive to non-invasive diagnosis, by better utilising the ultrasound stage of the diagnostic pathway.

EcoBean I B Corp™ - EcoBean transforms coffee waste into sustainable chemicals used by various industries - e.g. food, cosmetics, pharma - and offsets significant amounts of CO2 while doing so.

Envisionit Deep AI® - Envisionit Deep AI® (EDAI) is an innovative medical technology with a holistic approach to Artificial Intelligence. Committed to the highest standards of ethical AI we aim to democratize access to diagnostic healthcare by enabling accurate, cost-effective, and timely diagnoses, regardless of geographic or economic barriers.

Bioneris - Myriad Optics is developing new bacterial pathogen identification technologies to speed up testing in the food, pharmaceutical and medtech industries, to protect public health, avoid waste and help companies streamline their processes. We combine Raman spectroscopy, microfluidics and machine learning to produce an easy-to-use and affordable testing solution, directly on-site.

Noovi Ag - Noovi is developing first-of-a-kind marking pheromones that prevent pests from laying eggs on crops that are non-toxic, zero-residue, pose no health risk to farmers, public or environment. Marking pheromones are sprayable products signaling to female pest that treated crop - apple/grape/ etc. is already "occupied" by another female that already laid eggs there. By mimicking pest communication crops do not get infested with eggs/larvae without using any toxins.

Pack2Earth - Pack2Earth is a Barcelona-based impact company specialised in high barrier, robust materials made from plants & minerals to replace contaminating plastic in packaging and other sectors. Our biobased flexible film and injection material compost at ambient temperature, they are organically recyclable, have a low CO2 footprint and can be used to manufacture packaging and other items for long-life dry to semiliquid products, as well as for some liquids.

Riverkin - Combining large-scale water quality measurements and earth observation data with advanced hydrological models to support water resources management.

SolidWatts - SolidWatts is poised for massive scale-up by creating the new state-of-the-art in microwave dielectric heating for industrial processes. Until now, this highly efficient method for heating materials has relied on ageing technology with many limitations preventing a large-scale transition away from fossil fuels. We obliterate those limitations, creating very high power dielectric heating, suitable for processes never previously viable.

Spectacular Labs - Spectacular Labs is building portable pathogen-testing devices and reducing the traditional food testing timelines from days to 8 hours.
