Tracking Change, One Climate Story at a Time
Smarter tech, stronger communities, and bold climate moves — July kept us on our toes. Whether in the field or at the mic, FCF India showed up with purpose. Here’s everything we’ve been building, learning, and championing this month.

Field Diaries
From Sacred Groves to Restored Homesteads
The FCF India team recently travelled to Meghalaya and Assam, witnessing firsthand how nature and communities are shaping climate futures.
🌳 In the Khasi Hills, the Sacred Groves stand as living testaments to generational stewardship. Protected through cultural beliefs and community care, these ancient forests thrive under the REDD+ project — storing carbon, preserving biodiversity, and embodying nature-based resilience.
🌿 In Assam, the Restoration of Homestead Lands carbon project is breathing life into degraded land. Communities are planting saplings, restoring soil, and reviving climate hope, one square meter at a time.

In Dialogue
Confederation of Indian Industry Agri-Carbon Dialogue 2025
At the recent Agri-Carbon Dialogue hosted by CII Food and Agriculture Centre of Excellence , Jasmeet Singh Bajaj joined a thought-provoking panel on unlocking capital for agri-carbon projects that create real, measurable impact.
He highlighted the importance of:

His message was clear — carbon markets must be built on trust, transparency, and real impact.
Rethinking MRV for Livestock-Based Solutions
At the Voluntary Carbon Market Deep Dive, Jasmeet Singh Bajaj shared a practical roadmap for designing high-integrity carbon projects, highlighting the need for sector-specific readiness, robust MRV, and clear market pathways.
"Very few livestock-focused NBS projects exist globally, and none have yet taken root in India. A key barrier is that existing monitoring frameworks are poorly suited to the fragmented nature of our livestock systems. The methodologies currently prescribed are often misaligned with local realities, making them difficult to operationalize on the ground." — Jasmeet Singh Bajaj, Founder & Director, FCF India
Special thanks to Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University , Environmental Defense Fund , and Kumaraguru Institutions for convening this timely dialogue.
Reimagining Urban Livability Through a Climate Lens
Urban livability isn’t just about comfort — it’s about climate resilience.
At the inaugural Confederation of Indian Industry Delhi Panel on Livability 2025–26, FCF India joined city leaders to reimagine Delhi’s future through a climate lens. From clean air and water security to green mobility and nature-positive design, the session stressed one truth: resilient cities demand systems thinking and shared intent.
No silver bullets — just climate-smart planning for a thriving urban tomorrow.

From Groundwork to Global Goals
Every project we support is about more than carbon. It’s about children breathing cleaner air, women leading change, families accessing safe water, and communities building a better future.
At FCF India, we align our work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — from climate action to clean energy, gender equality to resilient livelihoods.
These aren’t just global goals. They’re local realities we’re working to change.
Here’s a snapshot of the SDGs we help bring to life.
