Updated Employee Benefits

Our commitment to help Canadians become much more financially successful and secure extends to our employees too. To that end, we have implemented significant improvements to our employee benefits program, guided by employee feedback which played a key role in the design.


HEALTH AND DENTAL COVERAGE

Our enhanced health and dental benefits offer comprehensive coverage for a wider range of needs, including the following:

  • Paramedical coverage: We have increased the coverage limit for existing practitioners that include physiotherapists, naturopaths, acupuncturists, audiologists, chiropractors, osteopaths, podiatrists, massage and speech therapists, and expanded it to include dietitian and occupational therapist services. We also made it easier to access registered massage therapy (RMT) services by removing the prescription requirement for initial visits.
  • Dental coverage: We strengthened coverage for basic dental services, raising the percentage covered and the annual maximum. This higher annual max applies to major work, too. We also now have orthodontic coverage for children under 19.
  • Drug coverage: By removing the drug coverage maximum, we’ve ensured that everyone has sufficient coverage, regardless of the costs to the plan. 
  • Health care spending account: To help cover expenses not covered by the plan or that exceed the plan limit, employees with benefits continue to have access to a Health Care Spending Account (HCSA).


MENTAL HEALTH COVERAGE

Our Mental Health practitioner coverage is $5,000 per calendar year, helping employees access psychologists, social workers/counselors, psychotherapists, and masters of social work. To round out this considerable coverage, we also offer:

  • Virtual Health Care: Our people and their eligible dependents have 24/7 access to personalized, virtual care from in-house health-care professionals as often as they need it. This includes mental health specialists, doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, and more.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP):  Employees and those in their household have 24/7 access to free, immediate and confidential support services for a full range of personal, family, work issues, and mental health concerns.
  • Virtual meditation and wellness app: We offer free access to Headspace, a mobile app with hundreds of hours of meditation, sleep, focus, and movement exercises.


PAID TIME OFF

We have a comprehensive time-off program to help employees decompress, recharge, and achieve a healthy work-life balance.

  • Generous vacation time: A minimum of three weeks of paid vacation, increasing with tenure to recognize both loyalty and career progression.
  • Personal and sick days: Dedicated time for personal needs and illness.
  • Community care day: A paid day for our people to volunteer and contribute to a cause they care about.
  • Quest Day: This newly added day is a flexible way for our people to use how they want to—whether it's extending a long weekend, celebrating a special occasion, or simply enjoying extra time with loved ones.


LIFE, AD&D, AND DEPENDENT LIFE INSURANCE

Peace of mind and support during unforeseen circumstances is a key focus of our employee benefits. We offer life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and dependent life insurance. These benefits ensure financial security for our people and their families when it matters most.


SHORT AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE

When our people face unexpected health challenges and can’t work, they have access to both short-term insurance and long-term disability coverage.


RRSP MATCHING

To support our people’s long-term financial success, we have increased our RRSP matching maximum to 6%. Not only that, we also removed the waiting period for those who meet the eligibility criteria, so people can contribute sooner.
