ADVERTISING
Uncommon London has a new British Airways campaign, a follow-up to the brilliant 'Windows' campaign. Once again, they've shown you can break a few rules - it's rare for any client to let you run their logo backwards. Beautiful shots.
REALITY CHECK
And this...All I can say is it is f*cking brilliant. So many want to overthink and overanalyse a piece of creative work, and far too many think that the audience actually thinks and talks this way.
Great bit of fun from Senior Art Director Alex Robertson

"WHAT INSPIRES YOU?"
Damon Way
Founder + CEO, FACT. Formerly Co-founder of DC Shoes
For me, the foundation has always been music subculture. Its DIY creativity, subversive expression, and tribal identity have long been my strongest sources of inspiration. Every project I take on is shaped by that lens, grounded in my angst-driven teenage years immersed in 1980s Skateboarding and Punk Rock.
PHOTOGRAPHY
A post popped up in my feed showcasing 20 photographers who truly made a statement with their work. Here's a snippet from the article.
Photography isn’t just about freezing a moment — it’s about shaking the world awake. Every frame, every click, every raw emotion captured by a camera has the power to change minds, rewrite history, and inspire generations. From war-torn fields to bustling city streets, from the fight for human rights to the quiet beauty of nature, these photographers have used their lenses not just to see, but to speak.
These 20 legendary photographers didn’t just document life — they challenged it. They exposed truth where lies tried to hide, showed love where hate ruled, and brought light to corners the world preferred to ignore. Through black-and-white frames and bursts of color, they crafted stories that moved hearts and stirred revolutions.
Names like Dorothea Lange, Steve McCurry, Sebastião Salgado, and Gordon Parks didn’t simply make great art — they gave humanity a conscience. They risked their lives, defied governments, and stood with the oppressed to remind us what empathy looks like. From documenting famine in Africa to showing the joy of everyday life in Harlem, their work continues to echo through decades, proving that a single photo can carry the weight of a thousand words — and sometimes, the hope of a better world.
So here’s to the visionaries behind the lens — 20 photographers who didn’t just click for beauty, but for change. Their art didn’t just decorate walls; it reshaped the way we see our planet, our people, and ourselves.

IDEA
We should all be giving our phones a rest a lot more often.
IKEA UAE has launched something fun, and I personally love it. It's an NFC-enabled miniature bed for your smartphone.
The smart (and small) bed uses NFC to make sure you don’t pick up your phone before getting seven hours of sleep.
Users can earn a reward voucher after completing a week’s worth of seven-hour uninterrupted sleep sessions.
BOOK
I haven't read this book yet, but I have read so many good reviews that I thought I'd spread the word.
I'm going to have my local bookshop order it in for me.
If you have read it, please add your thoughts in the comments.
ADVICE
Social media gives everyone a voice, and that's a good thing. But sometimes people will use that voice to attack you, tear down your work, and do their best to drag you into a back-and-forth with them.
“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.” - Mark Twain
THE 100 CLUB - SPOTS AVAILABLE
What is it? It's my creative group coaching community.
Get in touch for details if you'd like to join - chantcreative@gmail.com
That's it for this edition.
I'll see you in the next one.
