Why Financial Wellness belongs in every Start-up's Benefits Stack
If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know I’ve always believed that while a startup’s idea, its tech, its pitch deck, and its investors are all very important parts of its success, its most powerful currency will always be its people.
In June, I joined MYNE Tech Limited as Director of Strategic Partnerships. For those who don’t know MYNE yet, it’s a Dubai-born wealth tech platform designed to help individuals track, grow, and protect their financial assets, giving users a full view of their financial world in one secure place. From net worth tracking and budgeting tools to estate planning and certified financial coaching, MYNE is on a mission to make financial clarity and better financial decision making accessible to everyone.
But this is about more than just the tech (which is VERY cool). It’s about tackling one of the biggest blind spots in the employee benefits space: financial wellness.
We talk a lot about physical health. Mental health has (thankfully) entered the conversation. But when it comes to money health, most employers are still behind. Financial stress doesn’t clock out. It follows people into meetings, deadlines, and decision-making. And for startups trying to attract and retain top talent, ignoring it is a missed opportunity.
MYNE is changing that, and I’m here to help bring this vision to companies across the UAE and the wider region.
Imagine giving your team access to a digital platform where they can:

Now imagine the signal that sends to your employees: We care about your life, not just your labour.
In a market where competition for talent is fierce and wellness budgets are under pressure, adding a benefit like MYNE is both smart and sustainable. It’s not about giving handouts. It’s about giving people tools.
The best companies know that when people feel financially secure, they show up better. They think clearer. They stay longer. And in a region as ambitious as ours, we can’t afford to overlook that.
Let’s build benefits that reflect the full reality of what our teams need.
Let’s talk financial wellness.
