  • 🇸🇯 The AI, Data, and Robotics Forum (ADRF) is coming to Stavanger – and with it, some of Europe’s brightest minds in AI, data, and robotics. Among the standout voices this year is Stine Vatneberg, Vice President Facilities & Operations Technology at Equinor, Norway’s leading energy company. “ADRF presents a fantastic opportunity for our region and our industry to engage with the European ecosystem and discuss how to collectively shape tomorrow’s solutions,” says Vatneberg. With 15 years of experience across operations, projects, and technology, she has been involved in Equinor’s digital transformation. Her leadership in autonomy, robotics, and interoperability has helped redefine future operation of offshore assets – making production safer, smarter, and more sustainable. At ADRF, Vatneberg will join a panel on energy security, sharing insights from her work in facility technologies, robotics and remote operations. “From drones that inspect and repair infrastructure, to open-source collaboration across the industry, innovation is a necessity to meet ambitious goals and adapt to a rapidly changing energy landscape,” says Vatneberg. 👩🎓 Whether you're in industry, academia, or public sector, ADRF is your chance to immerse yourself in visionary keynotes, thought-provoking panels, and parallel sessions with industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers covering critical industrial and societal topics. “ADRF comes highly recommended from Equinor colleagues who have attended in previous years. Now, I am eager to make my debut to contribute to and listen to the discussion,” says Vatneberg. • 🌍 Europe’s AI Future Takes Centre Stage at ADRF25 in Stavanger In less than three weeks, the city of Stavanger, Norway, will host one of the most pivotal gatherings in Europe’s tech landscape. “The AI Data Robotics Forum 2025 is where Europe shapes the future of AI, data, and robotics,” says Emanuela Girardi. She is the President of Adra - AI-Data-Robotics-Association, which hosts the Forum together with the European Commission, Norwegian research institutions NORCE Research and SINTEF, and EDIH Oceanopolis. 👉 “Bringing together researchers, industry leaders, and government officials, ADRF25 marks a critical moment for shaping the continent’s future in artificial intelligence, data, and robotics. ADRF serves as a launchpad for collaboration across sectors, stressing the urgency of moving from high-level strategies to real-world implementation,” says Girardi. 🌍 Europe’s Role in Global AI Governance “In a rapidly evolving global landscape – where China, the US, and the UAE are accelerating their AI capabilities – Europe’s commitment to trustworthy, human-centric AI stands out. ADRF25 will spotlight European leadership in ethical AI governance, reinforcing its role as a stabilizing force in a tech race that often prioritizes speed over values,” says Girardi. An anticipated theme at ADRF25 is the rise of Physical AI – where artificial intelligence meets the tangible world through robotics, manufacturing, and infrastructure. Girardi sees this as the next major development in AI, with strategic importance for European industry. “The Forum will also delve into Europe’s newly published AI-powered robotics strategy, crafted in collaboration with European industry, startups, researchers, and policymakers. A key next step is the proposal for Qualification Centres, designed to ensure that strategic plans translate into operational excellence,” says Girardi. 🤖 Voices, Vision, and Vital Conversations She looks forward to engaging with Europe’s leading voices in AI, data, and robotics. “It’s about ensuring Europe develops its own technologies and uses them for the benefit of all,” Girardi notes. ADRF25 will be a space not only for sharing perspectives but also for forging the next steps in Europe’s digital sovereignty. Among the Forum’s many sessions, the Defence workshop stands out as particularly timely. As geopolitical tensions rise and digital threats evolve, Europe’s ability to harness AI for defence and security becomes increasingly vital.
