Early detection starts with empowered healthcare providers. Through the BEAT Breast Cancer (BBC) project, supported by the Pfizer Foundation, Jhpiego Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service, is training healthcare providers across districts in the Greater Accra Region on Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) techniques. These hands-on sessions are equipping nurses and frontline health workers with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to detect breast abnormalities early and guide clients to timely care. Every trained health worker means more lives can be screened, diagnosed, and treated early - and every woman or man reached brings us closer to a future free from preventable breast cancer deaths. Together, we’re strengthening the system, one skill and one screening at a time. #BEATBreastCancer #PinkOctober #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #Jhpiego #PfizerFoundation #PartnershipsToSaveLives

Men Have a Role to Play in the Fight Against Breast Cancer As part of Pink October, the BEAT Breast Cancer project, supported by the Pfizer Foundation, is engaging men across communities in Ghana, because awareness and early detection are everyone’s responsibility. 🩷 Through male-focused sessions in communities such as Asante Mampong (Local Parliament and Mprim) and Bogywe (Bekwai), our team and partners are breaking myths, encouraging family support, and empowering men to become advocates for early screening and care. When men champion women’s health - families, communities, and futures grow stronger. Together, we can #BEATBreastCancer. #PinkOctober #JhpiegoGhana #PfizerFoundation #EarlyDetectionSavesLives

Taking Breast Cancer Awareness Beyond Boundaries As part of the BEAT Breast Cancer project, supported by the Pfizer Foundation, Jhpiego Ghana continues to extend lifesaving education and screening to communities across the country. Our teams recently engaged students at Oppong Memorial Senior High School in Kokofu (Bekwai Municipality), women at the Yendi Prisons, and clients at community health centers, creating awareness on early detection and Self-Breast Examination (SBE). By empowering young people, community members, and underserved populations with knowledge and access, we are building a future where everyone; regardless of age or circumstance, can take charge of their health. Together, we’re working to #BEATBreastCancer and ensure no one is left behind. #PinkOctober #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #Jhpiego #PfizerFoundation
