The question isn’t whether AI belongs in education - it’s how we ensure it uplifts students, educators, and administrators alike. Our new AI-powered tools and advanced agents will enable a shift in how learning systems operate, empowering everyone to plan, teach, learn, and lead more effectively. We’re building with purpose, streamlining class prep, enhancing instruction, fostering critical thinking, and reimagining administrative tasks, so time, energy, and creativity can be reinvested in student success. I’m excited to see these innovations in action across campuses and classrooms. Now that the school year is well underway, I’m having one of those familiar parenting moments: realizing I’ll blink, and college visits will be just around the corner! And that has me thinking a lot about what the future of education looks like. Educators are at the heart of shaping that future, and as AI keeps redefining how we learn and work, we’re here to support them every step of the way. So, how can education organizations prepare students for a world that’s evolving faster than ever? And what does it mean to teach in the age of AI? I’ve seen some really inspiring stories from those who are already adopting AI in a deeper way, like that of Florida State University. As a leading research institution, they did what they do best: they leaned into curiosity, planning, testing, and analysis to successfully integrate Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio across campus. They started with a pilot, empowering faculty, staff, and students to experiment with new ways of using AI for productivity based on real use cases throughout the university. Then they went further, integrating AI more deeply to help fill administrative gaps and enhance the classroom experience for faculty and students. They’ve even integrated Copilot Studio into their interdisciplinary graduate data science program, helping students develop materials faster, grasp complex concepts more deeply, and explore intricate data sets with more confidence. This is what it means to Become Frontier in education: integrating AI across every part of the organization to drive progress and unlock better outcomes for educators and students alike. This week, some of FSU’s AI implementation team will join Microsoft Education at the 2025 EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in Nashville, to share more of their story. If you’re attending the event, I hope you’ll connect with them. If not, you can read more about FSU’s AI transformation story on our Industry Blog: https://lnkd.in/gNXxZWhJ At Microsoft, we’re dedicated to preparing the next generation for success in career and life. So proud to be part of a community that’s turning AI’s potential into positive impact for the future of education 💙
