🌳 What kind of cities do we want to live in – five, ten, 50 years from now? This #WorldCitiesDay, we're launching #CityImaginarium – a regional creative campaign that brings together artists and communities from around the region, from Montenegro to Kyrgyzstan, to reimagine greener, more inclusive and more resilient urban futures. Through 11 illustrations and a portrait series, the campaign explores how art and storytelling can help us see our cities anew – and imagine what comes next. Over the coming weeks, we’ll highlight the artworks and stories behind them, themed around Circular Cities, Inclusive Cities, Digital Urban Futures and Energy Resilience. Explore the campaign and imagine with us: https://lnkd.in/diQ7vNGu

On this #InternationalDayOfCare, we highlight the foundational importance of care across life stages, from early childhood to old age. Quality care is essential for individual well-being, social cohesion, and the development of human capital. Investing in care at every stage supports healthier, more fulfilled lives and lays the groundwork for stronger, more resilient communities and economies. UNDP in Europe and Central Asia's upcoming reports, Caring for the Future, map care systems in #Moldova, #NorthMacedonia, #Türkiye, #Ukraine & #Uzbekistan, showing how inclusive care systems are the backbone of cohesive, productive, and resilient societies. 💡 Investing in care is not just a social imperative; it’s a strategic move for well-being, gender equality, and economic growth. 📢 Caring for the Future launches soon... follow us to be the first to read and download it! #HumanDevelopment #CareEconomy #GenderEquality #InclusiveGrowth

For generations, communities across Eurasia have embraced resourcefulness—repairing, reusing, and making the most of what they had. From clay qvevri in Georgia to Ottoman fountains in Anatolia, and moba in Serbia, circular principles are deeply rooted in the region’s cultural heritage—even if many traditions have faded in the wake of industrialization. As the world seeks new models of growth that combine climate neutrality, efficiency, and inclusivity, these habits provide a powerful starting point. But tradition alone is not enough. The circular economy is a complex transformation—spanning energy, agriculture, industry, biodiversity protection, and social equity. Explore how Eurasia’s past can power a circular future in this op-ed by Steliana Nedera, published via Türkiye Today: https://lnkd.in/dcJJdJhN
