Nobody wants to be pitched.  Everyone wants to be understood. Most people think “creating demand” means slick decks  or perfect pitches. But the smartest pros skip the pitch  and start with the person. Here’s how to create curiosity and connection (without selling): 1. Lead with Listening ↳ Use questions to invite storytelling, not just answers. ↳ Ask about goals, pain points, and even past failures. ↳ Then listen like it matters (because it does). 2. Show You Get It ↳ Mirror back what you heard, in their own words. ↳ Try: “Sounds like…” or “What I’m hearing is…” ↳ You’re not just nodding, you’re tracking. 3. Give Before You Get ↳ Offer a timely article, a smart intro, or a sharp insight. ↳ Think: “What would make this moment easier?” ↳ Small gifts = trust accelerators. 4. Leave Room for Curiosity ↳ Don’t info-dump, plant seeds. ↳ Hint at something you could explore together  ↳ Let them ask for more. 5. Keep in Touch (the Thoughtful Way) ↳ Reach out with care, not obligation. ↳ A short note beats a long update. ↳ Frequency matters, but tone matters more. 6. Engage, Don’t Push ↳ Don’t sell the solution, co-create it. ↳ Ask: “Would it help to map this out together?” ↳ That one shift builds ownership and momentum. 7. Share to Serve, Not to Sell ↳ Visibility isn’t about volume, it’s about value. ↳ Be seen where they learn: LinkedIn, events, groups. ↳ Generosity is your best signal. 8. Track What Matters ↳ Don’t wait for revenue to measure success. ↳ Track your early moves: touches, replies, gifts. ↳ That’s your snowball in motion. At the end of the day, you don’t need to pitch  to earn a yes. You just need to help prospects feel seen, safe,  and slightly curious. Now, how easy is that? Which of these 8 will you try first? 👇 Let me know in the comments. 📌Follow Mo Bunnell for client-growth strategies  that don’t feel like selling.

‼️If you’re posting content on LinkedIn to drive attention for your B2B brand, you’re doing it wrong. Here’s why—content doesn’t generate attention. Engagement does. Most B2B marketers focus on what to post, but the real question is: Where should you engage? Add to that - Who should you engage with? And what should you say? A targeted engagement strategy isn’t about random commenting or mass DMs—it’s about being intentional with where you show up and how. Here’s how to decide what to do: ▫️Define Your Engagement Zones Not all conversations are worth your time. Identify where your ideal audience is already active—specific influencers, niche industry discussions, or customer pain-point posts. A simple way? Search your target industry’s hashtags and filter by ‘Recent’ to find where real conversations are happening right now. ▫️Reverse Engineer Your Buyer’s Journey Ask yourself: What does my ideal client see before they find me? Are they following specific thought leaders? Engaging in certain industry debates? Complaining about a common problem? Track these patterns—then position yourself in those conversations before they need you. ▫️Set an Engagement Priority List Engagement isn’t a free-for-all. Rank your targets: 🔸Tier 1: Potential customers 🔸Tier 2: Industry influencers 🔸Tier 3: Key referral partners Allocate time accordingly. Your Tier 1 audience should get direct interactions, while Tier 2 & 3 should see regular touchpoints to build long-term visibility. The goal? Be seen in the right places, by the right people, at the right time. Strategy isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what actually moves the needle. Your thoughts?

Stop asking "What should I post?" Start asking "What problem can I solve?" Most creators are stuck in content mode, asking what's trending or what got engagement last week. You're creating content about content instead of solving actual problems. Here's the shift: Instead of brainstorming posts, brainstorm problems. What do clients ask you repeatedly?  What mistakes do you see constantly?  What keeps your audience up at night? The best content ideas are hiding in your client conversations from this week. People don't follow you for entertainment. They follow you for solutions. When you solve problems publicly, you prove you can solve them privately. Problem-solving content attracts qualified prospects, positions you as the solution, and converts followers into clients. Your action step: Create a "Problems List" this week. Write down every question clients have asked you in the last month. Each one is a content idea that could land you a client. What's the most common problem your ideal clients ask you about?

How to Create Better LinkedIn Content That Engages Your Audience Transcend simple likes and comments and create real conversations. This builds relationships, trust and creates paying clients, partners, and supporters. True engagement ultimately drives business results. My recent content strategy overhaul centered on three key pillars: ★ Relatability ★ Problem-solving ★ Collaborative spotlighting First, authenticity is paramount. To connect on a deeper level, inject human elements into your posts. 1️⃣ Share personal anecdotes that reveal your personality and values, demonstrating vulnerability and building rapport. 💁🏻♂️ For example, openly discussing my role as a single father working in IT helps build trust and creates a relatable image. This transparency fosters genuine connection, moving beyond superficial engagement. 2️⃣ Second, focus on addressing the pain points of your target audience. - Instead of solely promoting your services, offer valuable insights and solutions. - Create content that provides actionable tips, addresses common challenges, or offers informative explanations. - By positioning yourself as a resource who understands and addresses their concerns, you build credibility and establish yourself as an authority. - This type of problem-solving content attracts organic engagement and positions you as a helpful resource. 3️⃣ Finally, leverage the power of collaboration. - Actively engage with and highlight other professionals in your field. This could involve sharing insightful articles, featuring colleagues' work, or offering congratulations on achievements. - Giving credit where credit is due not only strengthens professional relationships but also demonstrates your commitment to community building. 🤜🏻💥🤛🏾 This approach enhances visibility, builds mutual respect, and builds a powerful network. In summary, my approach focuses on humanizing my brand through relatable storytelling, addressing audience needs through problem-solving content, and expanding reach through strategic collaborations. Remember, consistent application of these three pillars—relatability, problem-solving, and collaborative spotlighting—can significantly increase the quality and effectiveness of your LinkedIn presence. I'm happy to discuss this further; feel free to connect! #linkedinexpert #socialselling #linkedintips

In a recent episode of the Content Amplified Podcast, I explored how email marketing can go beyond discounts and flash sales to truly engage. Here are the takeaways: 👉 Personalization is key: It’s not just about “Hi [First Name].” It’s about sending the right message at the right time—whether it’s celebrating their milestones or solving their pain points. 👉 Storytelling works wonders: Your customers want to know the “why” behind your brand. Bring them into your world with stories that resonate and inspire action. 👉 Interactive emails drive results: Think polls, quizzes, or even asking your audience to reply back. Engagement starts when you  ask them to engage. And the best part? It’s measurable. You can see who’s engaging, what they’re engaging with, and how it ties back to revenue. Want to make your emails work harder for your brand? Start by rethinking the way you communicate. Ask yourself: ✨ Are your emails a two-way street or just another broadcast? ✨ How are you building long-term connections through the inbox? 🎙️ Curious to hear more? See the full episode link in the comments. 💡 Your action today: Audit your last email campaign. Did it spark engagement or was it just another promo? If it’s the latter, it’s time to rework your approach. The truth is, email marketing isn’t just about selling products—it’s about starting conversations. It’s one of the most personal ways to connect with your audience, build trust, and drive action. #EmailMarketing #EngagementStrategy #DigitalMarketing #Podcast

Turn your story into warm leads | Content strategy & copywriting for entrepreneurs trying to leverage LinkedIn

Struggling to turn content into real leads? Most creators miss the funnel part. Here is how to fix it. Forget trying to be a one-hit wonder with your content. The real power is in being consistently present. Your content isn't just a stream; it's a campaign designed for sustained impact. Think about the messages that stick with you: → You encounter them repeatedly. → Trust isn't built in a single interaction. → Staying top-of-mind is non-negotiable for influence. Here's the truth about reaching your audience online: - Only a small percentage of your connections will see any given post. - The number of people ready to buy right now is even smaller. - The majority need ongoing engagement and value. If your content strays too far from the fundamental problem you solve and the results you deliver... You're making it harder for clients to find you. Here’s a practical approach to consistently attract your ideal clients: 1. Pinpoint the fundamental problem you solve, your product/service. 2. Create a clear list of the pains your audience feels and the specific solutions you offer. 3. Leverage the classic TOFU/MOFU/BOFU approach. 4. Commit to a daily engagement routine, interact with people online! 5. Write about those pains & solutions from #2 consistently. Aim for 3x weekly 6. Repeat this process over and over again. TOFU (Top Of Funnel): Awareness – They know they have a problem. MOFU (Middle of Funnel): Consideration – They're looking at ways to solve it. BOFU (Bottom of Funnel): Conversion – They're ready to pick a solution. A few pointers for connecting more effectively: → Focus on "you.", not "I". → Mix stories with actionable advice. → Include a crystal clear CTA. Tell people what to do next. → Be intentional about addressing the specific audience you want to reach. This isn't a secret formula, but its effectiveness lies in your consistent execution and unique perspective. Your personal journey and insights are what make your message original within the repetition. What's the big problem you are solving? Let me (and potential clients) know below.

Most writers think you can only get clients through content creation. But there’s a strategy most people miss: solving problems through the comment sections. Here’s what actually works 99% of the time: Your ideal clients are scrolling through LinkedIn, engaging with top influencers in your niche. ⤵ They’re commenting, asking questions, and looking for solutions to their problems—problems you can solve. ⤵ And instead of waiting for them to notice your posts, you can step into the conversation. For example: ↳ A potential client comments on a trending post: “What’s the best way to build a personal brand through ghostwriting?” ↳ Or someone asks under an influencer’s post: “How can I improve my LinkedIn content strategy?” This is your moment to shine. When you provide a thoughtful, actionable answer in the comment section, you: ↳ Show your expertise in real-time – Not just to the person asking but to everyone following the post. ↳ Build relationships with key influencers – Increasing your visibility to their audience. ↳ Attract potential clients – People see you solving problems and associate you with solutions. Okay, maybe not the CEO sending you a contract right after your comment. But you get the drift — Engaging in meaningful conversations on trending posts is one of the best ways to get noticed and build authority without creating content. So: → Find a trending post in your niche. → Spot a question or problem in the comments. → Offer a well-thought-out answer that adds value. The formula is simple: Client’s Question on a Post + Your In-Depth Solution = Client Engagement and Lead Generation Stop waiting for clients to come to you—get involved in the conversations that matter. Stay proactive & keep commenting. #linkedingrowth

Your customers don’t trust you (yet)… here’s how to fix that. Earning trust isn’t about flashy marketing or big promises— it’s about what you do every single day. Here’s the thing: Without trust, your business is running on fumes. Customers are smarter than ever. They can spot insincerity from a mile away. And if they don’t trust you or worse, if they don’t feel valued they’ll go elsewhere. So how do you earn their trust, make them feel truly valued, and create engagement that keeps them coming back? Here’s what works: 1. Start by listening (and act on what you hear).   * Run surveys, host focus groups, or jump on 1:1 calls with your customers.   * Pay attention to their pain points, frustrations, and needs.   * Most importantly: Implement their feedback. Listening without action destroys trust faster than ignoring them altogether. 2. Personalize every interaction.   * Address your customers by name.   * Tailor your messaging, offers, or coaching to meet their unique needs.   * Remember: No one wants to feel like a number in your CRM. 3. Be transparent—even when it’s uncomfortable.   * Made a mistake? Own it immediately.   * Raising prices? Explain why.   * Customers value honesty, even when the truth is hard to hear. 4. Engage meaningfully by creating value.   * Share free resources, Q&As, or tips they can use immediately.   * Celebrate their wins—whether big or small.   * Build community spaces for connection (think LinkedIn groups, Slack, or live events). 5. Go above and beyond with small, thoughtful gestures.   * Send handwritten thank-you notes.   * Offer surprise perks, like early access or exclusive discounts.   * Follow up on personal details they’ve shared with you (yes, remembering their kid’s soccer game matters). 6. Stay consistent.   * Deliver on your promises every time.   * Focus on quality over quantity—customers will forgive a missed update, but not mediocrity.   * Regularly measure satisfaction and make improvements where needed. Building trust isn’t rocket science—but it does take effort. Focus on these six steps, and you won’t just earn trust. You’ll build relationships that last a lifetime. Which of these are you already doing?
Let me know in the comments I’d love to hear how you earn your customers’ trust. ♻️ Share if you wan to build trust in your market 🔔 Follow Mike Hays for more trust tips.

Here's how I'd build endless content ideas from customer interactions (the easy way): First, I'd stop doing guess work. Instead, look for these signals: • Pain points — What’s frustrating them? • Curiosity — What questions or objections? • Momentum — What wins (or losses)? Then, you can turn this into a system. Here's how: 1. After every sales call, send prospect a form. 2. Record and transcribe your sales calls. 3. Categorize your customers into categories. 4. Turn prospect patterns into posts. If someone in your target audience asks a question, others are asking the same thing. If someone shares a problem they are facing, others are facing the same problems. If someone shares a win, make it known. Others are seeking the same thing. Next, simplify your writing process with plug-and-play formats: • "What to know before solving [pain]" • "How [Customer] fixed [pain] in 3 steps" • "Struggling with [pain]? You’re not alone" • "The fix for [pain] you’re missing" • "Why [belief] is hurting [ICP] results" Templates = speed. Signals = accuracy. Then, automate the intake. Make it effortless. • Log all chats, DMs, and emails in one place • Grab quotes from calls for hooks and posts • Use AI to turn convos into content ideas • Spend 30 mins Friday mining for content Call it your “idea harvest.” One session a week can fuel a month of posts. Finally — let your audience do half the work. If you want better ideas, ask better questions. End posts with: “What’s your biggest challenge with [topic] right now?” DM new followers: “What’s one thing you’re working through lately?” Send out a 2-minute quarterly survey titled: “Help me write better content for you” The more signals you collect, the less content feels like a chore — and the more it becomes a mirror of your customers. If 80% of your content isn’t coming from your customer ideas, you're building for nothing. Listen, study, and post 100x faster. Your next content ideas are literally right in front of you. Get going.
