Joint Algorithms Research Fellowships with Research Groups at ETH Zurich, ISTA, and IISc

The Max Planck Institute for Informatics (MPI-INF) offers joint research fellowships in collaboration with the following research groups:

These fellowships are part of a larger collaboration between these groups and MPI-INF, focused on advancing Theory of Computing and its applications across a range of fields. Each fellowship holder will spend one year at MPI-INF (not necessarily the first year) and one year at one of the partner groups listed above.

Eligibility:
Research fellowships are intended for exceptional early-career researchers who are at most six years past the completion of their PhD. Applicants’ research interests should align with the agendas of the Algorithms and Complexity Group at MPI-INF and at least one of the partner groups.

Application Process:
Candidates should submit separate applications to MPI-INF (here) and to one or more of the partner groups, clearly indicating in the cover letter that these are simultaneous applications for a joint research fellowship.
