        The Word Barn in Exeter, NH, was created to promote the sharing and cultivation of the arts in an open and welcoming setting, and contribute to an already existing and thriving arts community. NHPR and The Word Barn have teamed up to record live music each week, so we can bring this art directly into your car, kitchen, or headphones on a weekly basis. No cover charge.

                        It's a Halloween double feature with a set from New England’s own Doctor Gasp (Dan Blakeslee), followed by the haunting and atmospheric sounds of one of New Orleans' premier musical acts, Sally Baby’s Silver Dollars.

                        Tonight on Live from the Word Barn from NHPR: The second of a special two hour celebration of the legacy of the Grateful Dead with a collective of singer-songwriters and acoustic musicians called Dead to the Core.

                        The Ballroom Thieves take the stage for a night of incredible harmonies, deeply personal songs and stories, and a wide musical palette featuring cello and acoustic guitar.

                        Acclaimed Santa Cruz, California string-band AJ Lee & Blue Summit play contemporary bluegrass, Americana, country, and folk with a jam-band flavor.

                        Award-winning poet and songwriter Todd Hearon plays with a full band in the meadow at The Word Barn.

                        Martha Spencer and the Wonderland Country Band bring Appalachian mountain music to the meadow stage in New Hampshire.
- 
                        Darlingside returns to the meadow at the Word Barn to feature songs from their album, ‘Everything is Alive’, along with treasured tracks from years past.
