The upper back
The male and female upper backs thankfully share more similarities than the front of the chest.
Mainly, we have the scapula (or shoulder blade) and the upper portion of the ascending trapezius to worry about. We can also add a few smaller muscles, depending on how muscular we want our base mesh to be, but let’s focus on the bigger things first since they make more difference.
We’re setting up the base meshes to be in good physical condition, so the muscles will be more apparent. Let’s start with the transverse trapezius since it will be a good reference for the other back muscles.

The transverse trapezius starts at the shoulders and extends to the spine, forming a rectangular shape:
