Navigating the Microsoft certification exam registration process
Candidates wishing to register for a Microsoft certification exam have two primary options:
- Online registration: Candidates can create an account and register through the Pearson VUE website, which serves as the official provider for Microsoft exams
- In-person or phone registration: Alternatively, candidates can contact a Pearson VUE-authorized testing center to register either by phone or in person
Microsoft certification exams are delivered through Certiport and Pearson VUE, as illustrated in Figure 15.7, and are available in two formats:
- Proctored exams: Conducted at authorized testing centers, where candidates are monitored in secure environments to ensure exam integrity.
- Online exams: Available for completion at home or work without a proctor. This option requires candidates to meet specific technical and environmental criteria.
