Setting up Strata Logging Service
Unlike Panorama, which you can deploy from a hardware platform, as a VM on a local hypervisor or via a cloud marketplace, Strata Cloud Manager and Strata Logging Service can only be deployed on the Palo Alto Networks hub at https://apps.paloaltonetworks.com. (The hub is a portal from where you can access all the cloud services such as Cloud Identity Engine (CIE), Strata Logging Service, etc.)
Panorama can leverage local log collectors or direct firewalls to send logs to SLS. SCM requires the use of SLS to collect logs from all managed firewalls. In other words, you need to set up SLS as well if you plan to manage your firewalls via SCM.
When you order SLS from your vendor, you will receive an email with an activation link, which will take you to the activation page.
