Standard Support

Standard Support provides a standard level of help and support related to given Qt offering.

Included in the Standard Support

  • Support on installation and product use
  • Updates and fixes for supported releases
  • License transfer and recovery support
  • 24/7 access to Qt Account Support Center
  • Bug fixes with standard priority (within reasonable efforts)
  • Two-business-day response time

Qt Framework Qt Creator Qt Design Studio Qt Development

Standard Support is included in the Commercial Qt licenses with the following exceptions:

  • Educational and Qt AD Professional licenses are excluded and get Install Support instead
  • Qt for Small Business includes max. 5 support tickets/year

To note:

  • Support is included on Qt APIs, functions, methods, and programming techniques, and on updates and patching for the supported releases.
  • License transfer and recovery support is included per the license agreement.
  • For embedded and MCU platforms, support is included for pre-built images for Tier 1 devices.
  • Code analysis and debugging is included for minimal reproducer applications.

Quality Assurance Tools

Squish Coco Test Center

Standard Support is included in all license types for the Squish, Coco and Test Center products.

Help and support is included on using these products in the intended ways, as well as on software updates and fixes for the supported releases.

Premium Support

Premium Support provides an upgraded level of support for customers looking for priority service.

Included in the Premium Support

All Standard Support features, PLUS:

  • Dedicated Qt Support Engineer
  • Bug fixes within reasonable efforts with the highest priority
  • One-business-day response time
  • Best effort support for related 3rd party software
  • Remote desktop assistance and troubleshooting

Premium Support is available upon request for customers with Commercial Qt licenses.

To note:

  • Full application code analysis and debugging is included.
  • For embedded and MCU platforms, support for pre-built images for Tier 2 devices and source builds of pre-built images for Tier 1 and Tier 2 devices is included.

Squish Coco Test Center

Premium Support is available upon request for Squish, Coco and Test Center customers.

To note:

  • Full automation code analysis and debugging is included.

Extended Support

Extended Support can be purchased as an annual subscription to continue to get Standard Support for most Qt Group’s products for versions that have reached their end of support.

Included in the Standard Support

Support on installation and product use, including:

  • Access to support systems
  • Ability to create support tickets
  • Ability to get answers on supported releases
  • Max. 5 hours of work per ticket

Specific to a product version. Can be combined with Premium Support.

The Extended Support is purchased for a specific product version or release (such as for Qt 5.15)​

 

The service level includes max. 5 hours of work per ticket:

  • This typically solves 90% of cases
  • Additional hours can be purchased separately

Qt Framework & Development Tools

Qt Framework

Extended Support can be coupled up with the Extended Security Maintenance subscription service, to continue to get critical security patches for a specific Qt Framework release after its end-of-support date. This can be expanded to your defined environment as a Premium Security Maintenance subscription.

To note:

  • Support is included on Qt APIs, functions, methods, and programming techniques, and on updates and patching for the supported releases.
  • License transfer and recovery support is included per the license agreement.
  • For embedded and MCU platforms, support is included for pre-built images for Tier 1 devices.

Install Support

Qt Framework & Development Tools

Install Support provides the holders of certain lightweight Qt licenses help on questions related to installing Qt Framework, Qt Creator, Qt Design Studio, and other Qt Development products, on supported development platforms.

The included lightweight licenses are:

  • Qt for Application Development Professional
  • Qt Educational Licenses


Note! Most Commercial Qt licenses, however, include the more comprehensive Standard Support.
