NETS-S I: Creativity and
Innovation
Students will create their own “About Me” collages
using descriptive pictures and digital imagery. They can
portray their hobbies, likes, interests, favorite food, etc.
They need to use at least 5 images online and 3 of their
own pictures, can be photos or magazine cutouts. Be
creative… the sky is the limit!
Give a 5 minute presentation explaining their collage to
classmates.
Looking at global issues and
possible solutions
Students are going to identify trends and forecast
possibilities on the issue of global warming.
They are going to search the Internet and find at least two
sources of information and type a response to what they
find. Then they are going to get into small groups and
discuss the issues.
They will then come up with one solution as a group and
create a poster explaining their solution.
Conduct science experiments using digital
instruments and measurement devices.
Students are going to use Youtube and
find “How to” videos to create a science
experiment modeling what they learn. I
will give them a list of topics they can
choose from including building water
rockets and floating devices.
The students will then craft their designs
and give a 10 minute presentation to the
class.
Debate effect of existing and emerging technologies on
individuals, society and global community.
• Students will write down three ways they are
someone they know use technology.
• Students will apply existing knowledge to
generate ideas.
•They will use their creativity to develop a new
form of technology within small groups.
•They will list the benefits of their piece of
technology to individuals and/or society.
