NETS-S I: Creativity and
Innovation
 Students will create their own “About Me” collages
using descriptive pictures and digital imagery. They can
portray their hobbies, likes, interests, favorite food, etc.
 They need to use at least 5 images online and 3 of their
own pictures, can be photos or magazine cutouts. Be
creative… the sky is the limit!

classmates.
Looking at global issues and
possible solutions
 Students are going to identify trends and forecast
possibilities on the issue of global warming.

 They are going to search the Internet and find at least two
sources of information and type a response to what they
find. Then they are going to get into small groups and
discuss the issues.

 They will then come up with one solution as a group and

create a poster explaining their solution.
Conduct science experiments using digital
instruments and measurement devices.

 Students are going to use Youtube and

find “How to” videos to create a science
experiment modeling what they learn. I
will give them a list of topics they can
choose from including building water
rockets and floating devices.
 The students will then craft their designs
and give a 10 minute presentation to the
class.
Debate effect of existing and emerging technologies on

individuals, society and global community.

• Students will write down three ways they are

someone they know use technology.

• Students will apply existing knowledge to

generate ideas.

•They will use their creativity to develop a new

form of technology within small groups.

•They will list the benefits of their piece of

technology to individuals and/or society.
