Cyber Cash Model: ERP Tutorial Presentation

Cyber cash allows for e-commerce by providing a secure digital alternative to physical cash and payments. It works by taking credit card transaction data sent by merchants and passing it to the merchant's acquiring bank for processing, making the transaction secure over the internet. The cyber cash gateway connects merchants to consumers and credit card acquirers. For payments to be valid, all money transfers must complete unambiguously and goods can only be received upon payment to ensure atomicity in transactions. Over time, cyber cash companies evolved and were eventually acquired by larger payment companies.
