Dogs In The City

A collection of all the helpful information I have learned and will learn about having a pet
dog or dogs while living in Philadelphia.
What Types of Information Will I
Be Providing?
 Which breeds of dogs are best for living in
apartments.
 What apartment buildings are the most dog friendly.

 Where are the best and friendliest dog parks.

 Where are the dog parks that you should steer clear
of.
 Where are the best places in the city to walk your
dog.
 Where are the best pet stores in the city to buy your
dogs food, treats, leash etc.
 And any other information that I find helpful
pertaining to owning a dog and living in
Philadelphia.
Why is this information useful?

 Because I believe that a lot of people living in the city


convince themselves or are convinced by others that they
cannot have a dog and live in the city. However being that I
have 2 very large breed dogs and live in a building filled with
residents that have 2 or 3 dogs each I disagree with this belief.
 A lot of people cannot be happy without a dog (me being one
of them) , and just because you have to live in the city for
work or school it doesn’t mean that you should have to forfeit
dog ownership.
Why Should People Listen To Me?

 Because I live in an 850sq ft apartment in the middle of


the city and have 2 large breed dogs.
 Because I have first hand experience with owning dogs
and living in the city, and all of my friends who live in my
building have dogs as well, so I have access to a large
pool of information about owning dogs while living in the
city.
