Environment, Health & Safety Policy

Virtusa is committed to operating the business in a manner which is environmentally sustainable and safe for all Virtusans and contractors to do their job. Every Virtusan and every contractor performing work on behalf of Virtusa shall bear a personal responsibility for the following objectives:

Ensure health and safety of each other


Maintain safe and healthy working conditions, educate and train Virtusans on appropriate occupational health and safety practices, implement sound emergency procedures and measures to prevent work related accidents.

Minimize environmental footprint


Conserve energy, consume natural resources responsibly, adopt a Reduce, Reuse and Recycle philosophy, ensure safe disposal of waste, and procure with due focus on environment to minimize Virtusa's overall environment footprint.

Compliance to standards
Comply with all applicable environmental, health and safety requirements for all Virtusa activities including legal or regulatory requirements and our clients policies and procedures.

Demonstrate leadership
Know what is expected, set an example, raise awareness, and influence stakeholders and suppliers to safeguard the environment, and act promptly and responsibly to correct conditions that may endanger health, safety, or the environment.

Continually improve
Strive to continually improve Virtusa's environment, health and safety management system performance through prompt reporting, corrective and preventive actions, training and the provision of appropriate resources to fulfill the objectives.

All Virtusans and contractors must support this commitment and escalate any environmental, health, or safety concerns to their managers for prompt action.
