How to Memorize the Bhagavad Gita Easily

Its very to memorize,sing and help others to memorize all the 700 verses of the Bhagavad Gita.

With just "3 steps you can do it!

1.Write down word to word meanings of all Sanskrit words,with full attention.Close your eyes and just try
to understand the meaning.
2.Listen to the sloka or the verse. Download the inidividual verses of all chapters from the links below.
3.Whenever you get time,just sing them.Make your own KEYS and KEY chart.

Just review the key chart when ever you get time.Sing from Key chart,without seeing. Within a year you
will have all the slokas in your head. I can guarantee you.


What you need ?
Mercy of the Spiritual Master Srila Prabhupad and mercy of Lord Krishna. The very fact that you are
reading this document means that you already have the mercy of Their Lordships Sri Sri Krishna Balaram
and the mercy of Srila Prabhupad.

A little determination, a little time say about 30 mins every day in the morning and your favourite
language Bhagavad Gita As It Is by Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swamy Prabhupada. I use and recommend
this only,as this is the most easiest and finest Gita translation ever done,that too by a pure devotee.

A small MP3 player,like your mobile phone player will help a great deal.

Step1:Early morning,say 5 to 8 am would be ideal,undisturbed. Pray to Srila Prabhupad & Krishna for their
mercy upon you to memorize the Gita with full realization of its import. This is not a student or scholarly
memorization,where in you dont follow the instructions. You have to by-heart it with full and complete
realization of it and enjoy the bliss and pleasure of singing the Lords Glories.

Step2:Take the first chapter. Read the verse nicely once. Write down the word to word meaning slowly
with full attention once. Close your eyes and try to recollect the meaning of the verse.

Step3:You should be able to recollect the meaning of the verse,if given a short clue,which you understand.
This is called as KEY to the verse. Just by hearing the clue,you should be able to recite whole verse,so
nicely,melodiously.

Step4:Listen to the verse or sloka,from your favourite player,three times.

Step5:Read and understand 2 verses/day for 6 days of a week. The last day being for the recollection of
the verses and singing melodiuosly.

If you do like this,you can finish off memorizing the 700 verses,easily,with in a year with average normal
intelligence and memory.

The slokas are sung so nicely and melodiously,that you will fall in love on first hearing itself.

All verses are given individual format and combined format. Download them according to your
convenience.


My Special techniques:

1.First I will write the word to word meanings of each sloka,meticulously,with full attention &
concentration.
2.I will try to recollect the meanings of new sanskrit words,the meaning of the verse.
3.Then I will create a key,a few words long,then refine it.
4.Whenever I get free time,I will sing along with Sri Vidyabhushan,from my phone.
5.For convenience,I will merge 10 verses each into separate chunks. Then listen to them,till perfection is
achieved.Use any mp3 joiner

I have given,the keys table I devised and used.I carry these,wherever I go in my pocket,so that I can just
recite the verses just by seeing the keys.

I also use a small pocket edition of Bhagavad Gita,where in only verses are given. In case you cannot get
it,down load the Bhagavad Gita 700 verses only word file from 4shared.com and then take a print
out.Please dont forget to paste the font in your c:\windows\fonts folder.

Each chapter of the Gita is given in a single page.So this handy printout will help your memorization a lot
