NBPPL Needs Experienced Engineering, Company Secretary, HR and Finance Professionals
NTPC BHEL Power Projects Private Limited (NBPPL) is a Joint Venture company of NTPC Ltd. and BHEL, both
Navaratna public sector companies of Government of India. The company was registered on 28.4.2008
under the Indian Companies Act 1956 with Corporate Office at Noida. The prime objective of the Company is
to enhance the capability and capacity of the Power Sector and supplement the efforts of both the promoter
companies ( NTPC and BHEL ).
JV Company will work as a EPC company (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) to take up turn-key jobs
of power plant with a view to provide total business solution to the customer from concept to
commissioning. Joint Venture has a plan to establish manufacturing facility for Balance of Plant, such as Coal
Handling, Ash Handling Plant and also for the manufacture of main power plant equipment, such as Turbine,
Generator, Boiler to meet the growing demand of power in the country. When fully established, the
manufacturing plant will have an installed capacity of 5000 MW per year. Total investment of this plant is
estimated as Rs. 6000 crores.

Engineering Discipline:-
Full time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology from a recognized Indian University / Institute
approved by AICTE with not less than 60% marks in aggregate, taking average of all Semesters / Year

A) Project Related :-
A 1) Power Station System Engineering :
I. Mechanical : Engineers with experience in Design / Engineering in the following areas:
a. Equipment Layout for Power Block, piping Layout, Piping Isometrics, Stress
Analysis and Hanger Engineering.
b. Power Cycles, Water Systems including Cooling Towers and Pumps.
c. Coal Handling Plant, Ash Handling Plant, Fuel Oil Systems, HVAC, Fire Protection
Systems, Compressors, Cranes, Water Treatment Plants, Waste/ Sewage
Treatment Plants.
II. Electrical : Engineers with experience in following areas: Proposal/ basic/
detailed/procurement engineering and site support activities for power plants in the
functional areas of electrical equipment selection and sizing, electrical protections and
control, and layout, cabling and grounding etc., covering equipment and systems such as
power and distribution transformers, HT and LT switchgear, DC systems, cables and
cabling, lighting etc
III. Control & Instrumentation : Engineers with experience in following areas: Proposal/ basic
engineering/ detailed engineering and site support activities for station C&I of power
plants covering analog and binary controls for boiler, turbine and generator and balance of
plant areas, instrumentation and layouts, interlocks and protection, and procurement
engineering of control valves, flow elements and local instruments etc.
IV. Civil Engineers with experience in following areas:
a. RCC designs of super structures, open foundations, pile caps;
b. Structural steel design of Power House Building/Mill Bunker Bay;
c. Design of tall Chimneys of heights 220 m and above;
d. Machine Foundation;
e. Public Health Engineering;
f. Geo Technical Investigation.
g. Roads, Drainage, Levelling & Grading
For Geo technical investigations/Roads, Drainage, Levelling & grading, etc. experience in
organizations( for Civil Engineers) doing engineering of other Heavy Industrial Plants such as
Petrochemicals and Gas nuclear & Hydro Power Plants will also be considered.
A2) Project Management

B1) Planning & Development / Investment & Co-ordination – For these two functions engineers with
having corporate exposure of planning & development / investment & co-ordination industry in
Power Sector / infrastructure projects will be preferred.
B2) QA :
Quality Assurance, Inspection and Performance testing experience in power plant equipments
i.e. boiler, turbine, generators, pump, ESP, BoP etc as per the National & International
Standards. Finalization and implementation of quality plans and associated process inspection
at various stages of equipment manufactirung, supply and installation. Experience of ISO 9001
system implementation. NDY testing. Experience of approving welding procedure qualification
and welder qualifications.
B3) MM & Subcontracting :
The required experience of engineers for MM & Subcontracting should be preferably in Power
Projects / Infrastructural Projects.
B4) Marketing
The required experience of engineers for Marketing should be preferably in Power Projects /
Infrastructural Projects.
C) Plant / Site Operations :-
( Namrup Operations / Palatana Operations / Mannavaram Plant ):
The required experience of engineers should be in power project / infrastructural running and
execution. Experience of working towards setting up of plants would be added advantage for
vacancies pertaining to Mannavaram Project.
D) Support Services :-
D1) Finance Discipline:
Accounting function, Working capital Management, Foreign Currency Transaction, Cash
Management, Debtors Management, Loans, Budgetary Control, Purchase Finance, Audit,
Relationships with banks and Financial Institutions and taxation etc.
The required experience should be preferably with organisations with manufacturing
background or engaged in EPC job.
D2) HR Discipline :
HR Functions, Manpower Planning, Recruitment, Performance Management, Organisational
Development, Compensations & Benefits, Administration, Award and Recognitions, Industrial
Relations and MIS Management etc.

D3) Company Secretary:
Candidate must possess post qualification executive experience in Central Govt./ PSU or in
Private company. For the purpose of experience, the component of 15 months “on the job
training” shall not be considered. The candidate should possess the thorough knowledge of
matters pertaining to Institutional finance, Company Law, corporate & secretarial functions and
should have handled/organized Board meetings, presentation of Board memorandum/ agenda,
issue of securities etc. The candidate should be able to handle the responsibilities of statutory
compliance under Companies Act and other relevant corporate laws.

Industrial DA will be paid on the basic pay and perks to the extent of 46% of basic pay would be
admissible. In addition, the incumbents will be eligible for other benefits such as HRM/Lease, PF,
Gratuity, Medical Insurance etc. Induction in DGM ( E6) level start at two higher increment @ 3% of
basic at the starting of the scale.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
(1) Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
(2) All qualifications should be from Universities / Institutions recognized and approved in India.
(3) All computations of age / minimum experience requirement / qualification shall be done w.r.t.
the last date of receipt of online applications as mentioned in the advertisement. The date of
declaration of result / issuance of mark sheet shall be deemed to be the date of acquiring the
qualification and there shall be no relaxation on this account. Post qualification executive
experience on a post / level shall be counted only from said date onwards.
(4) In order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview and / or screening test,
if so required, the management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards /
criteria. Management may also relax / lower the qualifying standards/ criteria in case suitable
candidates are not available.
(5) Candidates called for interview will be reimbursed up to single AC-2 tier sleeper class return rail
fare by mail/express train from their starting station or mailing address, whichever is near to
the place of Interview or Economy air fare whichever is lower.
(6) Candidates claiming to belong to any particular category shall necessarily submit a copy of SC /
ST/OBC/PWD certificate, as the case may be, from a competent authority. Relaxation,
wherever applicable of age, experience, % of marks in qualification etc. as per government
guidelines shall be applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD. Upper age is relax able by 5 year for SC/ST
candidates, by 3 years of OBC candidates, by 10 years for PWD candidates.
(7) Depending upon the requirement, the company reserves the right to cancel/ restrict/ curtail
the number of vacancies and recruitment process, if need arises, without any further notice
and without assigning any reason thereof.
