AGENDA
1.0 Chaipersons Speech
1.1 Puan Yeap thanked and welcomed all the teachers to the first English Panel meeting for the year
2016.
2.0 Puan Norliza Bt Aziz (Headmistress ) Welcome Speech
2.1 Puan Norliza thanked and welcomed all the teachers. Puan Norliza mentioned that she is unsatisfied
with the UPSR 2015 results but there is still room for improvement.
2.2 Puan Norliza thanked the Year 6 teachers for their effort in conducting extra classes and their endless
commitment in preparing these children for UPSR.
2.3 Puan Norliza emphasized on the new format on the UPSR examination and the teachers must revise
the format and techniques of answering so that the pupils would perform well in the UPSR
examination.

2.4 Level 1 teachers must stress on teaching vocabularies to enhance the pupils language.
2.5 Puan Norliza suggests that all the English Language teachers prepare word cards that can be used
for the Walking Dictionary programme.
2.6 Puan Norliza informs that Puan Zainab would help the Year 6 al-Khawarizmi and 6 Ibnu Sina English
teachers before she retires in April 2016.
2.7 Puan Norliza wishes and hopes that the English Panel teachers will do better both in the academic
and co-academic activities throughout the year 2016.
3.0 Head of Panel (Puan Yeap Cheow Meng) Panel Management
3.1 Warm welcome to Puan Nalinder Kaur A/P Kertar Singh to the English Language Panel of SKKPP.
3.2 Puan Yeap thanked all the teachers for all their commitments throughout the year 2015.

3.3 Puan Yeap shares the daily lesson plan format and suggests that it must be standardized in writing
the Buku Rekod Mengajar (BRM).

3.4 Puan Yeap and all the panel teachers agreed to use the Yearly Scheme of Work that is emailed by
Puan Deepa.
3.5 This year the new set of Perancangan Strategik must be planned for 3 years (2016-2018). Teachers
in charge must sit together and plan the Perancangan Strategik. (ATTACHMENT 2)
3.6 Puan Yeap emphasizes that the TOV and TARGET for the year 2016 will be based from the Ujian 1 in March.
3.7 Puan Yeap and all the panel members discussed about the English month that would be held in March 2016.
The duties and tasks to be prepared during the month have been discussed. (ATTACHMENT 3).
3.8 English Day will be held every Thursday morning (5-10 minutes) only for Year 3 6 at the foyer. It will be
conducted by an English teacher. The duty roster for this activity is attached.

3.9 The English noticeboards at the Laluan Ilmu Tahap 2 and near the school bookshop needs to be updated with
new information. The English One Stop Centre Hut will be also added new word and picture cards to make it more
attractive and informative.
3.10 Puan Yeap assigned the teachers in charge for the KoKuria Carnival that would start in April 2016.

3.11 The monthly test and all the yearly examination papers will be prepared by the panel members based on the
timetable planned. For the year 2016, the English exam papers are divided into 2 Paper 1 and Paper 2.

3.12 Puan Yeap also emphasizes on the number of exercise books needed for each year. This must be discussed
among the teachers who teach the same level. The workbook bought by the pupils must be used for assigning
homeworks and extra practice for the pupils.
3.13 The panel members suggests to Puan Yeap to buy a printer for the panel use in preparing teaching aids and
materials for the pupils. Puan Yeap would consider the idea and would discuss it with the Headmistress soon.

3.14 LINUS 2.0 must be conducted in classes and the results must be valid and reliable with the pupils ability.
3.15 MBMMBI would be a co-ed programme and all the activities to be done during the English month would be
considered as the MBMMBI activity.
