Responsible for safe and efficient operation of 660 MW super-critical thermal power generation unit.

Performed Start-up and Shut-down of steam turbine/generator, boiler, turbine operated boiler feed pump (TDBFP) and maintained auxiliary equipment like HVAC system, Air Handling Units, compressors, pumps, valves
(mechanical/pneumatic/motor operated), heat exchangers, cooling towers, axial fans and blowers.
Assisted in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for turbine, boiler, ID fan and FD fan
startup/shutdown and reduced startup/shutdown time by 30%.
Operated and maintained controllers, VFDs, PLCs, star/delta motor starters and tested interlock protections
with I&C engineer.
Conducted root cause analysis for failure of compressed air system and incorporated design changes in the
system improving the reliability of system to 100%.
Performed water testing and controlled the chemical feed to boiler, feed water and cooling water system
according to test results.
Responded to process alarms/emergencies immediately and conducted routine rounds of boilers and auxiliary
equipment for monitoring and maintaining plant operating variables.
Carried out preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment according to PM Schedule and
maintained the inventory of spare parts, chemicals, oils and H2/CO2 cylinders.
Performed testing of emergency power system and backup diesel generator following SOP.
