These qualifications do not only focus on relaxation but rather on improving the quality of life by creating
wellness through the principles of natures remedies and the bodys natural defenses.
These careers are monitored by legislation and the therapist treats patients in a practice setup. Therapeutic
treatments relax the body but the body is also activated to heal itself.
THERAPEUTIC REFLEXOLOGY
Presently Therapeutic Reflexology is one of the most exciting, health orientated careers to pursue.
Pressure point massage is applied to the feet to reduce pain and discomfort throughout the body. This is
achieved by the application of pressure using specific thumb and finger manipulations on the feet and hands,
activating corresponding reflexes in organs and specific areas in the body.
Reflexology is a therapeutic way to relieve stress and an effective treatment to maintain the bodys overall
well-being; it also facilitates the self-healing processes of the body.
