Note: Footing details contained herein are to be read in conjunction with the footing layout plan prepared by the Engineer,
standard construction details and the Specifications for footing construction.
The footing type recommended is considered the most appropriate for the site and proposed building and in compliance with AS
2870 - 2011, Australian Standard Residential Slabs and Footings - Construction.

Footing Type: 1. RC Waffle Pod founded on firm natural ground via piers.
2. Slab on ground to be 120mm thick reinforced with SL92 fabric placed at
25mm from the top surfaces (u.n.o)

Stormwater Drainage
It is extremely important for proper functioning of the recommended footings to ensure adequate stormwater disposal.
The site and drainage plan indicates minimum requirements for stormwater disposal.

It is imperative that the Owner is aware of his responsibilities with regard to site management. The Owner’s attention is drawn to
the CSIRO Division of Building Research pamphlet - “Guide to Home Owners on Foundation Maintenance and Footing
Performance”.
