GROUND RULES
I. RULES OF THE TOURNAMENT ( TEAM COMPETITION & REGU
COMPETITION )
1. The tournament will be run in accordance with the rules of International
Sepaktakraw Federation ( ISTAF ) currently enforced ( 2016 edition ).
2. Any unforeseen incidents not covered by the rules shall be dealt with as
follow:
a. Case of general nature shall be resolved with the Sariaya Municipal Athletic
Meet Games rules.
b. Technical question shall be referred to and resolved by the Technical
Committee.
c. In case of problems not covered by the existing ISTAF rules, the final decision
shall rest with the Tournament Manager.
II. MODE OF COMPETITION
1. The mode of competition shall be played in single elimination. In team event
if the 2 regu of one team win the 3rd regu will also play to see the potential of
the other players but this will be a no bearing game.
2. Coaches who have not attended the solidarity meeting will not be entertained
regarding questions on technicalities before, during, and after the match.
III. ENTRIES
Entries of each district must be submitted according to the regulations
imposed by the Organizing Committee of Sariaya Municipal Athletic Meet
Rule. Rule of the succession is applied. Fifteen ( 15 ) minutes grace period
will be given to the team. Non-appearance of the team after the grace period
given will mean forfeiture of the game in favor of the opposing team.
IV. PROTEST
1. All protest must be submitted in writing and shall be accompanied by
affidavit, witness and or evidences to support thereof to be entertained by
the management duly signed by the team coach and Head of the Delegation.
2. Protest must be submitted within one ( 1 ) hour after the game.
3. Protest shall be resolved judiciously by the Technical Committee headed by
the Tournament Manager.
V. MISCONDUCT OF TEAM OFFICIALS
Disciplinary action will be taken against Team Officials or his/her team for
any misconduct or disturbances committed by the official or team during a
tournament whether in or outside the court.
VI. SELECTION OF ATHLETES
1. The selection of athletes for the DIVISION MEET will be done after the last day
of the competition by a committee composed of Tournament Manager, Chief
Referee, Court Referees, and winning coaches.
2. The selection of athletes in the next level of competitions shall be based on
the individual performance of the athletes and the composition of the team.

VII. GENERAL
In the event of any question or any matter arising out of any point, which
is not expressly provided for in any rules of the game, the decision of the
Official Referee shall be final.
