Critical Journal Report: Leadership

This journal analyzes the effect of leadership style on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and employee performance among Religion Department employees in Indonesia. The study used questionnaires, interviews, and observations to collect primary data, and documents from the Ministry of Religion for secondary data. Multiple regression analysis found that participatory, directive, supportive, and achievement-oriented leadership styles positively impacted job satisfaction and organizational commitment. A participatory style and achievement orientation also improved organizational commitment. The journal provides insights but could benefit from reducing wordiness. Overall, leadership style significantly influences important work outcomes.

Praise be to the presence of the Almighty for all His mercy so that this
critical journal can be compiled to completion. I also want to thank all those who
helped me in this task.

And we hope that this critical book review will enhance the readers'
knowledge and experience, Going forward to improve the form and add content
to make it even better.

Due to my limited knowledge and experience, I believe there are many

Research purposes Job satisfaction is a theory or practical
concept that is very important, because
it is an impact or the result of the
effectiveness of performance and
success at work. Low job satisfaction in
organizations is a series of decreased
implementation of tasks, increased
absenteeism, and decreased
organizational morale.
Whereas at the individual level, work
dissatisfaction is related to the desire to
get out of work, increased work stress,
and the emergence of various
psychological and physical problems.
Employee performance refers to
employee performance is measured
based on standards or criteria set by the
company. Management to achieve very
high employee performance, especially
to improve overall company
performance.
Research subject Religion Department employee
Data analysis In this study using multiple regression
analysis techniques. Multiple regression
analysis is a regression equation that
involves a relationship between 2 (two)
or more variables. Multiple regression is
used to determine the effect of changes
of an independent variable on the
dependent variable.
Research methods Primary data were obtained by
distributing questionnaires aimed at and
filled out by all Religion Department
office employees. In addition to the
primary data questionnaire also in the
form of interviews and observations.
Data obtained from the Ministry of
Religion in the form of documents and
data concerning the standing history,
organizational structure, number of
employees
Observation result Chi-Square Test results show that Ho is
accepted because the Test value is in
the Ho acceptance area, so it is
concluded that the independent
variables that influence the MoRA
leadership style do not have
interdependencies between Kendal and
Semarang, so the regression analysis
must be done separately.

• Relationship between Participatory


Style, Achievement Orientation and Job
Satisfaction. Testing this hypothesis is
proven that participatory style and
achievement orientation have a positive
effect on job satisfaction. This implies
that satisfaction can be improved if the
participatory style and achievement
orientation continue to be improved.

• The relationship between directive


style and job satisfaction Testing shows
that directive style has a positive effect
on job satisfaction. This means that
satisfaction can be improved if the
directive style continues to be
maintained.

• Relationship between Supportive Style


and Job Satisfaction Testing this
hypothesis is proven that the supportive
style has a positive effect on job
satisfaction. This implies that
satisfaction can be increased if the
supportive force continues to be
improved.

• Relationship between Participatory


Style, Achievement Orientation with
Organizational Commitment Testing this
hypothesis is proven that participatory
and achievement orientation has a
positive effect on organizational
commitment. This implies that
organizational commitment can be
improved if the participatory style and
achievement orientation continue to be
improved.

• Relationship between Caregiver Style


with Job Satisfaction Testing this
hypothesis is proven that caregiver style
has a positive effect on job satisfaction.
This implies that satisfaction can be
improved if the caregiver's style
continues to be maintained and
enhanced.
Journal Strengths • Journals are equipped with expert
opinions
• The journal uses a programmed method
so that it provides complete results and is
in accordance with the results described
• Journals use experiments that are easy
to understand making it easier for readers
or reviewers to review journals
Journal weaknesses Journals use a lot of word wastage so they
look too much
Conclusion High organizational commitment will tend
to be more in line with the goals and
values of the organization. Want to give
more effort to the organization and strive
to provide benefits to the organization.
This shows that employees with high
commitment will be responsible for their
work. Because commitment in the
organization will make workers give the
best to the organization where he works.
An organization needs to carry out
performance measurement, so that it can
know a person's performance. Through
performance measurement, it is expected
that work patterns and task
implementation will be carried out
efficiently and effectively in realizing goals.
In measuring performance, the
organization determines aspects that are
the topic of measurement, such as aspects
of quality, quantity, and ability to work
together. The ability to carry out tasks,
creativity, tasks according to procedures
and policies, completing tasks on time,
helping the workload of other employees,
and working with other employees are
some of the aspects assessed in employee
performance. If the employee agrees to
this aspect, the employee's performance is
judged good by the organization.
