Fire falls on sacrifice 3
2 Chronicles 7:1 Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from
heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the
house. 7:2 And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the
LORD had filled the LORD's house. 7:3 And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire
came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces
to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is
good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
1 Chronicles 21:25 So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.
21:26 And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace
offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar
of burnt offering.
1 Kings 18:24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD:
and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is
well spoken.
Sacrifice of thanksgiving
Psalms 107:22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with
rejoicing.
Psalms 116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of
the LORD.
Jonah 2:9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have
vowed. Salvation is of the LORD
1Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
This is one key we need to learn to make use of. Most people are like the 9 lepers that received
healing and never returned to give thanks and glory unto the Lord. In the book of 1st
Thessalonians, we are instructed to give thanks in everything, in every situation give thanks.
This is unconditional, do not wait for a blessing so that you can give thanks to God; always find
something to thank God for.
The sacrifice of thanksgiving should become a lifestyle; God knows that if you stop sacrificing in
thanksgiving, then you will start sacrificing in complaints to the devil. When we stop giving
thanks, we stop the flow of his blessings toward us. Just as God requires us to give thanks, so
does the devil require doubt and complaining. When we stop giving thanks, we short circuit the
flow of power and glory from his kingdom. Giving thanks is an expression of faith towards God,
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. So instead of
complaining and expressing doubt towards God, why don’t you begin to offer up thanksgiving
towards God. He is well pleased when we give thanks, giving thanks is a statement of faith, a
statement that acknowledges his existence and His glorious power. Jesus before he fed the
5000, 1st gave thanks, and God released his power and his glory, and the food multiplied. Begin
to activate this wonderful key, and see as His glory falls upon your life and begin to experience
increase and multiplication.
If you are experiencing “dry” prayer sessions then consider this, maybe you are not releasing
thanksgiving towards God, and hence there is no release of his glory. Psa 100:4 Enter into his
gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his
name. If you do not offer thanksgiving, you cannot even enter into the gates of his presence.
Therefore it means that most of your prayers are being made outside the gates, which in
interpretation means they are being made outside of relationship and intimacy with God. Enter
into his gates with thanksgiving.
