 Arranging Data elements into logical tables
While arranging the data elements they were already listed in an order so that there is no

difficulty in arranging them in tables and further those tables can be related easily.

1. Patient table was designed to be the basic or first information table which would be necessary

to process any patient’s treatment while keeping its full record. Here Patient ID would be the

Key field which is the most important key in whole MIS because it will interconnect all other

entities and would make it easier for the end user to collect or generate records of a single

patient.

2. After collecting the first information patient will be referred to a department relative to
his/her condition. Here according to the condition and hospital schedules a patient will be
granted an appointment to meet a specialist.

3. The Doctor table is designed to make the hospital management more systematic or in easy
words this table will make sure that all the patients are equally divided to all doctors so that
one doctor is not taking all the burden but it is shared, moreover patients are going to get a
doctor relative to their condition. Most importantly here doctor will prescribe patient with
some drugs and recommend some tests.

4. This table is important for not only keeping record of patients but making sure that patients
are provided by effective and efficient services. All further provided services are going to
count on prescription.

5. If the patient is admitted then automatically a nurse and a room would be issued to the
patient. During the duty hours nurse would take care of the patients regardless of the visitors.

6. Here patient’s condition will be monitored by the doctor and the nurse and updated on patient
profile. Most importantly this table will also determine the end bill because after the
admission form all patient expenses are going to be connected with the room.

7. Here all the prescribed tests are going to be recorded and patient’s health, diet and drugs are
going to be determined and updated.

8. According to the reports and doctor’s prescription a certain diet plan and medicine dosage
will designed and it will be monitored by the nurse.

9. After some time or just before discharging the customer, an invoice will be generated against
the patient ID and this will be done by the help of the record where all the services and
treatments provided to the patient are mentioned.
