READING:
Children are learning to:
 Decode words using letter sounds.
 Make sentences using words from the story.
 Answer a variety of comprehension and prediction questions.
 Show their understanding by matching pictures with key words or phrases from the text.
 Show their understanding by drawing pictures to match a phrase.
 Comprehend a text by using the correct words to complete unfinished sentences.

WRITING:
Children are learning to:
 Use sounds to complete key words from the text.
 Write key cvc, cvcc and ccvc words from the text.
 Fill the gaps in a story by choosing and writing the correct key word.
 Use adjectives and verbs to create more characters.
 Use known vocabulary, nouns and adjectives, to write a description of a character.

If you wish, you can print these 2 to a page, making them A5 size, though pages 1, 2 and 15 are better as A4.
Pages 3 – 15 are the children’s work pages, however pages 7 - 10 are a black and white repeat of pages 3-6, I
have done a teachers master colour version of these pages for the children to refer to if they need it.

 Select Print.
 At the bottom right of the window are the ‘zoom’ options. On the ‘pages per sheet’ option, select 2
pages.
 In the ‘page range’ box, select ‘Pages’ and enter page numbers to print as A5 size e.g. 3-10.
