Assignment 2 : BUILDING CONTROL II (BSR 306)
Marks : 30%

Students are required to form a group of 4 people and each group may choose one
residential building as a case study. This is the requirement of this assignment:

i) To calculate the capacity of exits, occupancy load, travel distance (maximum), and Means
of escape of selected building.
ii) To check and interpret compliance of By Law 133 (interpretation), BL 165-194 Uniform
Building by Laws 1984 where necessary based on selected Case Study. You should also
refer to 7th Schedule of UBBL 1984 to do necessary calculation. Student may use template
below to elaborate and interpret the BL.
