Preface and Owner Manual 

Owner Manual

The functions of this Manual are to let the owners to understand the gear lubricant system, and are able to use
the product properly.

It shall be fitted with this manual at the site of gear lubricant system, and ensure to be read at any time.

The operators or relevant personnel for all the gear lubricant system must be familiar with and can use the
Manual. For example, the operators with the following processes:

.Operation: including equipment regulation, trouble diagnosis, treatment for the productive wastes, equipment
maintenance and management for processing materials, etc.

.Maintenance: (Testing and repair);

.Transportation process

As for the operators who cannot read the Manual, the equipment owner shall tell the operators to know the
contents of the Manual, especially for the safety instruction.

Operation Manual

-Including the safety of the gear lubricant system, important information for the correct and economic operation,
and shall be helpful to observe them so as to avoid danger -Decrease the maintenance cost and downtime,

-Increase the reliability and expand the life of gear lubricant system.

The relevant laws and regulations on the accident prevention and environmental protection at the site of
equipment shall be observed when the equipment is used.

Safety Caution
The basic instructions shall be observed when the installation, operation and maintenance for the system
included in this Manual. Therefore, the installing and debugging and other related personnel shall read the
Operation Manual carefully before installing and debugging the equipment. The Operation Manual shall be fitted
at the site of equipment or system installation.

The general safety instruction in this Chapter and special safety instruction in other Chapter shall be observed
the same.

Personnel qualification certificate and training


 Operators in charge of equipment operation, maintenance, testing and installing shall be qualified for the
job.

 The user shall be reasonable division of responsibility for these personnel and management scope.

 If any operators are failed to grasp the necessary expertise, the proper training and guidance shall be
arranged. If necessary, the representatives from the equipment manufacturer/suppliers shall carry out the
training and guidance.

 In addition, the owners shall ensure that the operators fully understand all the contents of the Manual.

Safety instructions that don’t follow may cause dangerous


 Ignore safety warnings may result in equipment damage , environmental pollution and /or personal injury

 The claim for safety instructions that not be followed and causes damage could not be accepted.

The following examples we listed due to not comply with the safety warning and cause dangerous:

 The main function loss of the equipment or the system

 Failure for defined maintenance measures

 May cause personal injury due to the electrical and mechanical failure or chemical reaction

 May cause environmental pollution due to the leakage of harmful substances.

Safety operation
 Pay attention to

 Safety instructions given in this Manual;

 The national laws and regulations on the accident prevention at the location of the equipment;

Enterprise internal work regulations and accident prevention measures.

Owner and operator’s safety regulations


 If the hot and cold parts on the equipment may be dangerous, the owners need to protect themselves
against the accidental contact.

 The protection devices shall not be broken down or unloaded when the equipment is running.

 Leaked hazardous substances shall be properly handled, to avoid hurt people or cause environmental
pollution. The processing of hazardous substances shall comply with the relevant legal regulations.

 Shall prevent current danger. (see VDE for specific details and the corresponding specification of the local
Power Company)

 
Safety regulations on maintenance, testing and installation
 Owners shall ensure that all maintenance, testing and installation work has been carefully read this manual
by them, and done by the authorized and qualified professionals.

 Any such operations shall not be done when the machine is running, please close the machine according
to the regulations of the Manual.

 After completing the cleanup, all the safety protection measures shall be mounted.

 Remove pump and harmful substances on the related equipment.

 Dealing with materials harm to the environment according to the relevant government regulations

 Before the equipment is running again, it shall ensure that all the requirements of “debug” section in this
Manual has been completed.

 
Modify or use other parts without permission
 Any changes or modification of equipment shall be consult manufacturers for consent. Only use the
original parts and accessories specified by the manufacturer, to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.

 If the other unauthorized parts are used, the manufacturer is not responsible for the resulted damage.

Operate without permission


 The regulations of " scope of application in this Manual shall be abided only, to ensure the safety of the
operation. It shall not exceed the maximum rating value given in the technical parameters list of Manual.

Debugging in the EU area (pump or pump core), only meet the EU regulations, debugging the equipment can
be allowed.

Scope of Application
This Owner Manual refers to pneumatic barrel pump model SAF2 – YL-MT (with 4 outlet), spray
lubrication system for the open gear. Its purpose is to prompt pump installation, operation and maintenance
personnel.

 The spray lubrication system is specially designed for the open gear lubrication

 Al kinds of gear rack and special mechanical parts can also be lubricated based on special requirements.

 Please note that the maximum rating value mentioned in the technical parameter table, especially the
maximum pressure of 120 Bar, shall not be exceeded.

 Barrel pump SAF2 is only used for the lubricating oil viscosity rating of spray system is designed for pump
NLGI 0 and 00.

 Any other USES is not in accordance with the instructions, the owner shall guarantee and bear the loss
compensation.

 System special advantages

. SAF pump directly replaces the barrel (not necessary to supplement)

. SAF pump without servo disk, even if barrel damage in transit or concave.

. By a hoisting frame with manual winch can easily disassembly and install the cover barrel (see attachment).

The other losses for inconsistent with the provisions, the manufacturer is not responsible for these.

System Operation Principle


Automatic operation
 Once the main power switch is connected ,the power indicator is on;
 Change the remote/local switch to remote, the electrical system interlock is started, the system is ready;
 Receive the remote operation (terminal X4:16), the running light is on the control box panel, the system
enters the remote automatic lubrication mode;
 Start for the first time , the system is carried out on the nozzle pre-cleaning program, 2 /2-way spray nozzle
valveDT1 opens for 3 seconds;
 Nozzle pre-cleaning is ended, the system begins to implement injection procedures, 3/2-way oil pump
valve DT2 opens for 3 seconds, the oil pump supply oil for spray unit, to perform spray lubrication work;
 The spray process is ended, the system begins to execute the nozzle end cleaning and cycling pause
procedures, electromagnetic valve DT1 closed, the nozzle end cleaning time and cycling pause time is
adjustable;
 2 /2-way spray nozzle valveDT1 opens for 20 seconds, the nozzle end cleaning program is ended; 2 / 2 –
way nozzle valve DT1 is closed;
 Cycling pause procedures are ended, the system begins to implement injection procedures,
electromagnetic valve DT1, DT2 open, the system sprays the oil; ;
 Based on the above program logic, as long as the remote operation signal (terminal X2:26) is existed, the
system will cycle the above logical steps.
 Run according to the above program logic, as long as the remote allowed operational signal (terminal X2:26)
is existed, the system shall cycle the above logical steps.
 Once the remote allowed operational signal (terminal X2:26) is disconnected, 3/2-way oil pump valve DT2
is closed, the oil pump shall cut-off the oil injection;
 The system implements the nozzle end cleaning procedures; 2 /2 way nozzle valve DT1 opens for 10
seconds;
 The nozzle end cleaning program is ended; 2 / 2 –way nozzle valve DT1 is closed, the system stops running;
 The system receives the remote allowed operational signal (terminal X2:26); the system shall restore the
operation.

Local automatic operation


 Once the main power switch is connected, the power light is on;
 Run enable signal to a remote receiver (terminal X4: 17), the remote allows you to run the lights on the
touch screen;
 Press the button on the touch screen automatically run locally, the local system into automatic operation
mode of lubrication;
 This kind of operational mode is suitable for no main controlled electric interlocking communication.

Local forced operation


 Once the main power switch is connected, the power light is on;
 Run enable signal to a remote receiver (terminal X4: 17), the remote allows you to run the lights on the
touch screen;
 forced to run local press touchscreen button, the system enters run locally forced mode;
 In local mode can be selected manually run the pump, or both pumps simultaneously open on the touch
screen;
 When this mode is used in the system debugging for the first time, the pause time is set to 1 seconds.

Appendix 2. Adjustment of the lubricant quantity
When adjusting the lubricant quantities, take the indications of the lubricant manufacturer and those of the gear manufacturer as
well as the state of the gear into consideration (running-in operation, continuous operation).
Since the holding time of the 3/2-way valve must be of 3 seconds and the lubricant output of the pump per stroke is constant,
the lubricant quantity is adjusted by varying the cycle time.

System installation and debugging caution


 

Pump station installation requirements

 Pumping station shall be installed in easy maintenance and less dust, and must pay attention to whether

the environment temperature is suitable for pump working temperature range;

 Pumping station shall pay attention to the influence of the surrounding environment, especially for the

surrounding motor protection level);

 The enough installation space, can easily open the lid, replace the barrel and do the maintenance work

(The required space referring to the system general drawing);

 Pumping station shall be installed in the flat and firm place without any vibration

 Pumping station shall generally be installed in the injection panel level, as close as possible, in this way

the pipeline of the system is shorter, the pressure reduction can be kept at a minimum, to ensure enough

to overcome the pressure of the back pressure at the lubrication points;

 In order to ensure the system to work properly, it shall be equipped with the standby pump.

Hard pipe and hose installation


 All the system components (pipe, hose pipe joint shall be designed for maximum system pressure.

 The middle pipeline is recommended to use the cold rolled seamless steel tube. For working in an
adverse environment system, it is recommended to use stainless steel tube.

 A pipe cutter for cutting the pipe shall be used, not allowed to use a saw for avoiding to produce scrap iron

 A bender shall be used for a cold bending pipe, because a hot bending will produce a scale.

 It shall be cleaned inside the tube, the impurities such as any rusty spot, hot rolling, oxide and sand are
not allowed. About 90% accidents are due to not enough cleaning; the data shall be pay great attention.

 The place with too high or too low temperature shall be avoided as far as possible while installing the
pipe, because of the too high temperature will lead to the grease ageing, the too low temperature will
increase the grease resistance in the pipe. These factors can result in lubricating oil shortage or damage
to the pipe.

 For mobile or out-of-reach lubrication points, the high pressure hose or nylon pipe can be connected.

4. ASSEMBLY INFORMATION:

4.1. Do not weld pipes.

4.2. Bend pipes in a cold state.

4.3. Remove burrs and clean pipes (either with compressed air blowing or with tube brush)

4.4. Before assembly the lubricant lines must be primed with lubricant.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR SOLDERLESS PIPE FITTINGS WITH SLEEVE
Precision steel piping DIN 2391, annealed, scale-free is to be used.
 
1) Rectangular saw off the pipe to be laid. WARNING: do not use pipe cutters!

 
2) Smooth down the end of the pipe both inside and outside.

 
3) Oil thread and sleeve - do not use grease.
 

 
4) Move screwing components over the pipe as illustrated.
Sleeve has larger side towards the coupling nut.

5) Press pipe onto pipe connection until impact. Screw an coupling nut by hand until impact.

 
6) Screw an coupling nut for about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 turns with a spanner. Lengthen spanner if necessary. Pre-
mount the connecting pipe fittings and the large union pipe fittings in the vice; small union pipe fittings can
be mounted anthem device. Final mounting at all costs in the same cone as that in which the pre-mounting
took place; mark if necessary! Leaks are other wise in avoidable. In the case of standard product, pre-
mounting in our specially formed remounting pipe connections. The dimensions of the pipe
connection are determined with such great precision that pre-mounted pipes in it with cut-in
sleeve can be paired with every connecting piece, whose bores lie within the tolerances of DIN 3861.

Hose Installation Instructions

The operational safety of a system and the durability of the hose lines are to a great extent dependent upon

the correct installation of these lines. Some important points to note:

1) As a basic rule, a hose line must never be put under torsion; it must

not be twisted during installation. The length of a hose line can change

when under pressure. Shortening means extra traction strain on the

hose and on the connections. In its pressure less state the hose line

must therefore droop a little. Only screw on coupling nuts until the

connection does not leak. Further tightening does not improve the

sealing qualities but only damages the connection.

2)In the case of curved installation, attention must be paid to the bending
radius. Sharp bends are to be avoided. When the length of a hose line which
is to be installed bent is calculated, one must remember that the connecting
accessories are not flexible. The correct measurement of the length of hose
between the connecting accessories is therefore essential.

3)Elbow fittings are provided for a purposeful installation of the hose lines. The
radius of this fitting is so small, that a correct lay out of the hose line is possible
even in the case of restricted room for the fitting.
 
 
 
 
 
 
4)Elbows also suit those places where the positioning of the connections does
not allow a "hanging" bend and where "standing" bends would imply a constant
danger of unwanted bends behind the hose fitting.

Use the requisite fixing material (ea. clamps) in the correct size. Hose must
not be allowed to move in the clamps but must also not be squashed. The fixing
material should fit around the hose if possible.

Debugging operation description

 Pumping station in the factory has been full of lubricant and exhaust;

 In order to keep the lubricant in the oil pump in transportation and storage, there is a plastic bag in the oil
pump to protect oil pump;

 After the oil pump shall be put into operation, another barrel full of lubricant can be replaced; when
replacing the barrel, it shall be attached great importance not put into the barrel with dust or dirt. The lid
shall be evenly jointed on the edge of the barrel.

 Driving air shall be free from condensate and impurities. For air treatment, to use the air treatment unit
including air filter, pressure regulator and lubricator.

 For pickling the oil, gas path pipe, to guarantee the pipeline cleaning;

 Check all oil pipe, pneumatic cut-off valve, to make it in an open level;

 Loosen the injection panel filter entering into the inlet joint (for pipeline oil filled);

 Connect the main air supply; the air supply pressure is adjusted to 5 Bar. It shall not be more than 7 Bar.

 Connect the main power supply, change the remote/local switch to the local

 In the case that loosing the injection panel filter inlet joint is started to out of oil , tighten the joint;

 Adjust injection panel air pressure reducing valve, the air pressure shall be adjusted to 6 Bar;

 After all the nozzles begin to normal oil injection, the system debugging is over.

 Set the remote /local switch to remote.

Daily maintenance and repair

 Before performing any maintenance on the system, shut off the power switch, shut down the system main
inlet valve, and protect it from accident. In order to reduce the pressure, open the pump station pressure-
relief valve in the system. Maintenance shall be only use spare parts from the original factory and is
performed by the training qualified personnel.

 Because the system is used for conveying the lubricant, so it doesn't require any special maintenance.

 Regular maintenance and daily maintenance work;

 Need to often check the control box and other alarm devices;

 Check lubricated conditions

 Need to have regular inspection and clean the lubricating oil filter, clean or
replace every 720 work hours.

 Need to often remove the impurities and dust on the system;

 At least once a month check the shape of the oil injection, be adjusted if necessary;

 Regularly clean the oil grease accumulated on the installation disk and of nozzle;

 Timely empty the grease tank;

 When filling oil into the tank, notice that it shall not be mixed into the impurities or foreign body;

 Check oil pump whether the work is correctly. Comparing the existing data and whether the
recommended value is consistent;

 Check at least once a year the nozzle and the distributing valve. When it is necessary; the
replacement work shall be carried out by the trained professionals.

 Clean up the wasted oil on the gear (at least once every two years - according to the type of shield).

 Use the air compressor; the attention shall be given to the recommended value from the
manufacturer;

 According to the air humidity, regularly check the air filter and oil-water separator; If necessary, to re-
fill the lubricating oil;

 Check the seal once a year, to replace if necessary.

1. General
This Owners Manual refers to the pneumatic barrel pumps model SAF2-YL -MT(with 4 outlet). It is
intended for the personnel charged with the installation, operation and maintenance of the pump.
If fault shoud occur although the Operating Instructions have been followed, please contact our Service

2. Appropriate Use
The barrel pumps model SAF2-YL-MT are designed for use only in spray systems for the supply of adhesive
lubricants of NLGI grades 0 and 00.
Take care that the maximum ratings mentioned in the Technical Data sheet, particularly the max. operating
pressure of 300 bar,
is not exceeded.
Any other use is not in accordance with the instructions and will result in the loss of claims for guarantee and
liability.
Particular advantages of the SAF pumps
· direct delivery from the original drum (no refilling necessary)
· no follower plate, i.e. the delivery is also possible when the
barrels are extremely damaged or dented.
· easy removing and installation on a lidded barrel by means of
a stand with winch (see „Accessories“)

6. Mode of Operation
 
A 3/2-way air solenoid valve (integrated in maintenance
unit HSA-TD 20) is required for the drive of the spring-
loaded air pi- ston.
When the solenoid valve is activated, compressed air
enters the air cylinder (item 2) and displaces the air piston
downward. The working piston (item 3)supplies the
lubricant via the check valve (item 4) to the integrated
metering device (item 5).
The metering devices meters the lubricant quantity in two
equal quantities of each 1.1 cm³/stroke.
The pump SAF1 (for 1 pinion) supplies a part of the
lubricant via the external check valve to the outlet. The
pump SAF2 (for 2 pinions)supplies both lubricant
quantities to the two outlets.
 
The 3/2-way solenoid valve must keep activated at least
3 se- conds to allow the pressure built up in the system.
Once the solenoid valve has been switched off the spring-
loaded air piston can be put in its initial position and,
together with the working piston, it simultaneously sucks in
lubricant from the bar- rel.
The pump is ready for the next working cycle.

SSV‐N Progressive Metering Devices With Indicator Pin 

SUITABLE LUBRICANTS 
The  progressive  metering  devices  model  SSV‐N  can  be  used  for 
dispensing greases up to penetration class NLGI 2 
NOTE: It must nevertheless be ensured that the greases used do not 
alter their consistency significantly in the course of time or under the 
influence of temperature or pressure 

 
The progressive metering devices 
- are piston‐operated metering devices 
- automatically (progressively) dispense the lubricant fed by pump to the connected lubrication points 
- have a lubricant output of 0.2cm3 per outlet and piston stroke 
- when one or more outlets are closed they can dispense a double or multiple lubricant quantity 
- are available with 6 to 12 outlets or up to 22 outlets 
- offer the option of combining several lubrication points into one centralized lubrication point 
- meter the supplied lubricant into predetermined single quantities 
- A piston detector (initiator) which has been installed on a metering 
- device instead of a piston closure plug monitors the pump 
- operating time and brings it to a close after all the pistons of this 
- metering device have dispensed their lubricant quantity. 
- •  If there is a blockage in the system or if the pump reservoir is empty, 
- the piston detector can no longer record the piston movements. 
- The switching off signal is not transmitted to the control unit. A fault 
- signal occurs. 
- Important! For the system monitoring it is recommended that one 
- SSV metering device with pre‐assembled piston detector be 
- used per lubrication circuit. These special metering devices must be 
- ordered separately for each lubrication system. Refer to the Parts 
- Catalog. 
- •  The pre‐assembled metering devices have the designation 
- SSV ... ‐ N (they are available for SSV 6, 8, 10 and 12). They must 
- be installed in the system instead of a normal metering device. 
- important: in the case of the progressive metering devices model SSV‐N the outlets 1 and/or 2 must never be closed, 
otherwise the system would block due to the structure of the metering device 
- install an outlet fitting assembly in each outlet borehole which will be used. Refer to Fig 1 
- never remove closure plug 4 (chamfered) on the piston side.

Design
The housing consists of glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic which is self-extinguishing and hardly inflammable.
The cover is assembled without fastening screws by simply pressing it into a spring-loaded latch. It can be easily
disassembled by means of a screw driver or a similar tool. The packing of the cover and the ram are resistant
to petroleum and oil. External metal parts are made of rustproof material or have a suitable finish.

Instructions for cleaning
 
1. Unscrew the strainer assembly 628-25463-1 by using a wrench SW 41
2. Remove sealing ring 220-12238-3, paying attention to sealing lips.
3. Clamp strainer assembly in vice with the inside towards the top.
4. Screw out the threaded ring 303-17546-1 with screw driver.
5. Remove fine strainer 428-21545-1, spacing ring 428-21546-2
and coarse strainer 428-21544-1. Cleanse all parts thoroughly or, if necessary, replace them.
6. Reassemble the strainer assembly according to the drawing.
Note the position of the two strainers. Before screwing in the strainer assembly, check whether the sealing
surfaces are clean. Put sealing ring 220-12238-3 in position.
Screw in strainer assembly and tighten with wrench.

Design 设计

The electronic pressure switch is equipped with 1 digital display, 2 switching outputs and 1 analog output. The switching points
and the hysteresis can be adjusted via keys.

The display is easily readable thanks to the waterproof housing which can be rotated through 290°.

Design 设计

The electronic pressure switch is equipped with 1 digital display, 2 switching outputs and 1 analog output. The switching points
and the hysteresis can be adjusted via keys.
电子压力开关配有 1 块数字显示屏、2 个开关量输出和 1 个模拟输出。切换点和迟滞可通过按键进行调整。

The display is easily readable thanks to the waterproof housing which can be rotated through 290°.
防水外壳可旋转 290°,方便读取显示屏上的数字。

The pressure switch is maintenance-free. If faults do arise please send the complete unit to us. Interference by not authorized
personnel will invalidate all warranty claims.
