BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE TRAINING CONDUCTED

The Senior High School Teachers of the Eastern Pangasinan Agricultural College held a School-
Based In-Service Training from December 14-15, 2020, with the title: Embracing the New Normal in
Education Equipping SHS Teachers with Technological Skills and Strategies on Distance Learning
Modalities. The week-long seminar was both held through face to face and through online to minimize
the exposure of each employee.

On the 14th day of December, the participants filled-out an online registration form before
entering the venue. At exactly 9:30 in the morning, the program started with an opening prayer, followed
by the singing of the national anthem through an audio-visual presentation. This was followed by an
overview of the in-set by Mrs. Ronaliza C. Cerdeñola, then an opening message by Madam Phoebe F.
Kagaoan, Principal IV of the Eastern Pangasinan Agricultural College. After the opening program, the
lecture started with the first speaker, Mrs. Ronaliza C. Cerdeñola, who discussed the MELC. For the
afternoon session, there was a workshop about the MELC. The first day ended with the presentation of
outputs. The seminar for day two was held through Google meet. Mr. Jonathan Esquejo was the speaker
for the day, and he talked about the online platforms (MS Teams). For the workshop, Mr. Jerson Lalata
had a teaching demonstration using an online platform. The third day was a face-to-face seminar and the
speakers for the morning session were Mrs. Emerenciana H. Salapare, who talked about the Mental
Awareness, and Mrs. Tessie C. Mendoza, who talked about how to Manage Virtual Classroom Behaviors.
For the afternoon session, Dr. Salvador H. Dela Masa, Senior High School Assistant Principal II,
discussed the DepEd Order 31, s. 2020. The fourth day of the seminar was held through Google meet, and
the speakers were Mrs. Ariane May C. Ballesca, who talked about the Different Assessment tools in the
Modular and Online modes of teaching, and for the afternoon session, Ms. Lyzly Ann G. Mendaros talked
about the Work, Life, and Balance.

The fifth day was the last day of the seminar. It started at exactly 9:30 in the morning with a
prayer, followed by the singing of Pilipinas Kong Mahal, through an audio-visual presentation. Dr.
Salvador Dela Masa then gave a message to all the participants of the seminar. Mrs. Tessie C. Mendoza
formally closed the program, which was immediately followed by the awarding of Certificates to the
lecturers and to the participants.
