PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ursuline Academy
Japanese Exchange Program Manager, 2019 – Planned and successfully executed an exchange
where 10 Japanese students visited from an Ursuline Academy sister school. This included
finding host families, managing funds, planning and executing tours, and keeping active
communication between the school, students, exchange families, and administrations.
Spanish Exchange Trip Coordinator, 2017 – Ensured the supervision and safety of a group of
junior and senior level students on a three-week cultural exchange trip through southern Spain.
Accreditation Committee, 2019 – Worked with a team of teachers to identify socio-emotional
strengths and needs within the school, then created grade-specific activities to implement 2020-
2021.
Tender Mercies
Associate Board Member, 2017-Present – Tender Mercies takes in mentally ill homeless and
works to rehabilitate them. Includes serving dinner quarterly and helping plan functions and
fundraisers.
New Miami High School
New Miami College and Career Fair Manager, 2015-2016 – Recruited local professionals to
come to the school and present information about their education and career. Included
coordinating set-up and tear-down, quick problem-solving, and creating the school schedule for
the day so all students could attend. Recruited and managed 25 tables of guests.
Building Leadership Team, 2015-2016 – Met monthly with other members of the high school
staff and administration to discuss student data and how to improve the school academically –
aligned English curriculum and improved reading proficiency on the Ohio Graduation Test by
16.3%
Behavior and Culture Team, 2015-2016 – Met monthly with other members of the high school
staff and administration to discuss how to better students’ attitudes toward the school. Included
planning events, organizing charity work and recognitions, and creating bulletin boards and
decorations for the school.

FULL TIME ENGLISH TEACHER, Ursuline Academy
Designed and taught daily curricula while continuously adapting to student needs and
administrative expectations
Class of 2018 averaged a 29 on the reading section of the ACT (8 points above the national
average), and a 30 on the English section (10 points above the national average)
Multi-tasked preparing for and delivering lessons for two different grade levels
Regularly communicated with students and parents about strengths and learning needs
Passed the Resident Educator Summative Assessment, a series of tests new teachers are given to
prove effectiveness before getting a permanent teaching license
o Passed on the first attempt when first attempt pass rate was only 69% of nonpublic
schoolteachers
2014 – 2016
FULL TIME ENGLISH TEACHER, New Miami High School
Designed, developed, and taught curricula for three core English classes and five English elective
classes over two years
Increased reading proficiency by 16.3% and writing proficiency by 1.7% in my first year of
teaching according to Ohio Graduation Test results
Organized learning into concrete steps gradually increasing in difficulty to accommodate students
with low reading and writing proficiency
Created a positive classroom environment for seven classes each day, totaling 50 students
Built learning goals that taught students according to the pre-determined Common Core State
English Standards for grades 10, 11, and 12
FULBRIGHT GRANT WORK
Member of Going Global: Globalizing Education Fulbright Grant to travel to Peru, 2017 - Spent
one month in Peru studying multicultural education and globalizing the classroom. Expanded
ability to work with students of differing backgrounds, ability levels, and belief systems.
Published a chapter in Internationalization in the Classroom, an educational text focusing on
what was studied in Peru and how to apply that information to the classroom.
