It is a pleasure to learn that Indian Plumbing kill oun ii (rPSC) and Federation
of Indian Chambers of Commerce and lndustr (FICCI) are jointly organising the
first virtual global expo on plumbing sector namely 'Pkuub Skills Expo 2021'
from February 24-27, 202].
The selection of theme of this Expo - 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat: Transforming India
into a Global Plumbing Hub through Skilling and Employmeni' i thoughtful.
Plumbing as a technical skill possesses tremendous potential with applications
across various economic sectors including agriculture industries, manufacru1·ing
and construction. There is a huge demand of skilled people across sectors in a
rapidly cbanging world.
India's resolve towards building a strong and Aatmanirbhar Bharat imbibes the
vision of making India a global hub of skilled manpower. From emphasi on
imparting new age and market-relevant skills to the youth to the endeavour to map
the opportunities being generated around the world, we are taking holistic steps to
create a vibrant skill development eco-system.
As the nation is striding forward on the path of development, modem technology
and innovative practices are propelling the construction. of 21st century
infrastructure projects, smart urban 1ransformation and rapid growth of rural areas.
Valued stakeholders like IPSC and FTCCI add strength to the nation s re olute
efforts towards sustainable growth.
J am sure that the Expo will provide an .ideal platform for technical experts to
share their expertise and experience with the participants and also help
organisations to showcase latesl technology and products to the global
congregation of buyers and manufacturers.

The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, was pleased to learn that a virtual event of this
stature, particularly for the plumbing domain, was being organized by IPSC and FICCI and also sent his
best wishes for the event.
The Curtain Raiser of Plumb Skills Expo 2021 was graced by Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Hon'ble Union
Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.
The Inaugura on of the event was graced by Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Hon'ble Union Minister of Skill
Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India. This event not only helped qualified and skilled workforce
in the Indian plumbing industry gain exposure to interna onal products and technologies but also aided
global manufacturers to get an opportunity inside one of the biggest marketplaces i.e. India. “The skills expo
aims to promote the Local to Global Mission and provide a be er skillset to the plumbers and technicians of
the na on. The expo will play an important role in shaping the future of this sector. India aims to be a global
plumbing hub”, he said.
The event succeeded with excellent support from the Hon'ble Minister of Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey.
Dr. R K Somany, Chairman, Indian Plumbing Skills Council described that the event will open doors of endless
opportuni es for the professionals engaged in the Plumbing Sector. "The expo will act as a catalyst increasing
the global presence of Indian manufacturers and increase the employability prospects of our workforce, not
only in India but in other na ons as well. This event is a steppingstone for the interna onal plumbing industry
to witness India as an excellent market and understand India's strengths for it to become the largest
des na on source of plumbing products and skilled workforce.”, Dr. Somany said.
Mr. Uday Shankar, President, FICCI, who was also present in the Inaugura on Ceremony of Plumb Skills Expo,
said, "Plumbing is a vibrant and growing sector worldwide. This sector is expected to grow globally by $ 112
Billion by 2023 with a CAGR of 6 percent. High investment in infrastructure facili es, rising disposable income,
and growing investment in smart ci es are fuelling this growth."

Inaugura on of the Plumb Skills Expo was followed by a Global CEOs Roundtable where CEOs of some top
companies from the Plumbing, Water, Construc on and Real Estate Sector gathered under one pla orm to
discuss all the major aspects of the sector including ideas and recommenda ons on growth of the sector and
making it a mainstay in India's Growth.

VIRTUAL EXIBITION
Over 100 organiza ons from manufacturing and service sector exhibited through virtual
Pavillions, Premium Stalls and Booths in the Plumb Skills Expo through which they could showcase
their products, services and upcoming projects to the par cipants/visitors. There were special
Industry sessions arranged in the expo with an intent to act as a bridge between the Industry and
the professionals working on the field. Buyers and Sellers from across the globe par cipated in
the Expo. Premium facili es like prefixed and on-the-spot B2B mee ngs, networking lounge,
contact sharing were given in the virtual exhibi on which provided a real- me exhibi on
experience to the visitors.
Digital Plumber Meets were also a major highlight of Plumb Skills Expo. Thousands of Plumbers were
mobilized by the IPSC Secretariat through the network of Training Partners and Industry Partners were invited
to give their presenta on about their products, technologies and brand to the plumbing technicians from
across the country.
A series of webinars ranging from Water Conserva on to MEP, Spirituality to Social Media, and much
more were held throughout the expo ac ve par cipa on from industry experts from across varied
fields. Some of the sessions held in the Plumb Skills Expo include Architectural Expecta ons Vs MEP
Reali es, Innova on and Sustainability in Ecosystem Voca onal Training, Role of States in Skill India
Mission, Government Ini a ves to bridging Supply & Demand, Challenges in Design for Plumbing
Systems, Spiritual Discourse by Bhikku Sanghasena and many more.
